My Fears for 2010

We officially have 24 days remaining in 2009, making it officially too early to "fill" with a 'Year in Review' blog, but there is no etiquette regarding 'fears for the future' articles... This Monday evening, as you lend me a few moments of your time, let me state my biggest fear for the coming year.

2010 is the mid-term election to end all mid-terms. We are easily on the verge of some sort of collapse of America - our economy, our core values, our general way of life. In 2009 we were faced with a rising tide of liberty minded revolutionary talk - not necessitating a fighting revolution, rather a revolution in the way we regard our leaders, how we pick them, and the relationship we demand with them. It was a year when many Senators or Congressmen wished they had stayed sheltered in Washington, rather than facing their town hall voters. It was a year when the government grew out of control and Americans finally said "enough".

My biggest fear during the next election cycle is that, as the image above suggests, the revolution is merely for show. My fear is that if Republicans win it will be more of the same "bad" republicans, winning off the back of the liberty protesters, only to gain power for "their" side. My fear is that there are not enough of the "right" kind of leaders stepping forward, and we are going to be left with a lesser of two evils battle as we move into the elections.

How do we help keep this fear from becoming a reality?

First, stop giving money to political parties. We saw the err in this tactic in the New York 23rd race, where the GOP candidate withdrew to endorse the Democratic candidate over the Conservative. The party, especially at the national level, has learned nothing and will continue to make the same mistakes in it's quest for power.

Research, research, research. Find a good candidate and follow them. Ask them questions. meet them face to face. Call their campaign office and get on board with their agenda. If you think they have the right stuff, DONATE!

Finally, write your leadership. Write your Senators, Congressmen, Governors, and Party Leaders. Let them know that there are standards we are holding them too, and that in 2010 you can be their best friend or worst enemy, depending on how they view YOUR liberty. If they are unresponsive or disregard your demand for representative government, consider running for their seat... the thought has crossed my mind more than once.

"We the People" - Govt. Relationship Redefined

Congress votes on a bill, it passes. Seems simple enough.

The Senate takes the same bill, votes, it passes. The Senate is simply performing a series of actions perfectly authorized by the Constitution.

The President signs the bill laid before him, and suddenly we have a law. School House Rock would be proud!

Our founding fathers, however... not so much.

This is a law that forces compliance to federal mandates, threatens fines of $10,000 and ten years in federal prison, and advances this nation further from a Government of and by the People into a Government Over the People.

The year is 1934, The law was the Gold Reserve Act. The federal government very literally seized, at gunpoint, the entire wealth of the people of the United States. The government acted as common criminals perfecting their weapons of choice - fear, intimidation, and brute force. It was made a federal crime to own more than 5 ounces of gold, and was severely criminal to use the metal as a source of monetary value for trade. The federal government made themselves very clear - hand over the cash and no one gets hurt.

Under a guise of national security, and with the authority of the Trading With The Enemy Act, FDR and his congress effectively labelled any merchant of gold an Enemy of the State - what would be considered and widely reported in today's media as a terrorist. Suddenly, any free American not declaring their gold and not surrendering it to federal authorities was a TERRORIST.

The year is 2009, the bill in question is the Affordable Health Care for America Act. The federal government is seizing, at gunpoint, the entire Health of the people of the United States. The government is acting as common criminals, forcing submission to their product under the threat of fear, intimidation, and brute force. It will be a federal crime to not purchase a US Government Product - Health Insurance. The federal government is making themselves very clear - hand over the cash and no one gets hurt... unless the end of life counselors determine, on your behalf, that it is in your best interest and the best interest of the country.
Under the guise of national security and economic stabilization, and with the authority of, well, its the Government - who's gonna stop them? Obama and his Democratic Congress will effectively label any free citizen exercising a Natural Right NOT to procure a product as an Enemy of the State, a terrorist.

One has to look at the History of the United States and ask, "How is it that we are considered a Free Society?"

What is the relationship between the People of the United States and their Government?

History would reveal a series of gross offenses by a tyrannical government over a free people. From the Indian Wars for US backed Gold Prospecting, to Japanese internment after Pearl Harbor; from the invasion of Southern States by Federal troops, to the invasion of foreign lands for Imperial resources; from the Gold Reserve Act to the Patriot Act... The list goes on and on, but the result is always the same: The People are absolutely powerless to stop the will of the Federal Government - any resistance will be met with fines, imprisonment, internment, or Death.

Blue Lyon even reported last week on a Washington Post piece finding that Federal Prosecutors are free from legal recourse for FRAMING individuals in order to win cases!

But here’s the twist: The prosecutors say that they can’t be sued for anything they do in their official capacities, even framing suspects.

It is not an argument outside the legal mainstream. The federal government, a majority of states and thousands of prosecuting attorneys are supporting the proposition that prosecutors must receive absolute immunity for their actions at trial to do their jobs properly. And that extends, they say, to any investigative work they do before the suspect is charged.

[...]

There is no “free-standing due process right not to be framed,” Deputy Solicitor General Neal K. Katyal agreed. Having to worry about a potential lawsuit when deciding whether to introduce certain evidence, Katyal said, might cause prosecutors to “flinch” from their duties.
The federal government's corruption is extended across three branches, with power to suspend or ignore the Constitution and those blessed rights preserved by the people, for the people, as we granted limited powers to our government. There is no power to stop the government in their forceful rule of our daily lives or personal property - only fear and intimidation, powerful tools to keep subjects in line.

The relationship between the Government and We the People is no longer what it was intended to be. We find ourselves on this day, and for many days before, born into slavery to a government that is rabid with power, and brutal with enforcement of their laws.

To keep gold - a crime.
To refuse Government Healthcare - a crime.
To use force to obtain property belonging to another individual - a crime sound government policy.

I ask you, my reader, my fellow citizen - what is the trigger... what is the catalyst... what is the offense that is so egregious that it will be THE ONE to make the citizenry rise up and demand that they simply STOP - that we want nothing more than to be left alone!

"...experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed..." - The Declaration of Independence
When do we say "Enough". How do we stop these elected officials from further eroding our Natural Rights? How do we ensure that We the People are the keepers of the power, and that the Government should fear us - Not the other way around?

We support the most debilitating punishment for a government - the Right of the people to Opt Out... the right of the States to Opt Out... we support with the fullest power of our body and mind the freedom of a group of people to say "No More".

The United States applauded the secession of the Soviet Republics 20 years ago, when the Iron Curtain fell and with it the Berlin Wall, but in America the thought of secession is criminal. Scholars and paupers alike will tell you that the Right to Secession was lost when the South surrendered during their war for independence. Does the rule only apply to enemies of the US, or are we subject to the same rules of Natural Law? Is there any wonder why Obama downplayed the anniversary of the collapse of a Socialist Power and the secession of her states?

There is a very simple, very clear message being sent by the US government: Every Knee Shall Bow.

If You Go Carrying Pictures of Chairman Mao…

October 1st, 1949, sixty years ago on this day, Mao Zedong declared victory in the Chinese Civil War where the Communists backed by the USSR defeated the Nationalists backed by the USA. The war and following awakening cost more human lives than both World Wars combined… somewhere between 26 and 72 million. The communist regime of China is the number one violator of human rights in modern times, is a growing threat to regional neighbors like Nepal and Taiwan, is currently in border disputes with Pakistan and India, and has been occupying Tibet for decades.

So let’s celebrate the accomplishment of the Communist Regime, their Liberation from liberty, and do it in the Capitalist Center of the World… New York City.

The unfortunate side effect of living in a country where freedom of speech is protected, you are subject to moronic ideas and illogic on a daily basis. If the Empire State Building wants to celebrate Communist Revolution, so be it… I will use the lighting not as a celebration of the Red Chinese, rather as a memorial reminder of the millions of souls murdered and starved to death by the Chinese. I will use it as an opportunity to remind my readers of the forced abortions and strict rules regulating basic rights on life. I will use it as a reminder that the United States continues to sell national interests of a “free” nation to the Communist regime – who is using that profit to build an army and navy capable of attacking the United States in a way that the Soviets never could.

Go ahead and light your building, NYC.

So much for the shiny beacon on the hill!

Orwellian in Nature...

I ask, in what time do we live? What era is this, that men surrender their liberty for bondage when so many before them have fought for the very opposite? What fiber of our being has been so corrupted that we not only surrender our arms, but do so with cries of favor for our master? How have the mighty in soul been so defiled in character that they willfully bend on knee to shackles?

Those who have an ear, let them hear the truth... you have been deceived, are currently being deceived, and will continue to be so blind if you do not open your eyes.

It is not the state of political parties - it is the driving force of the rulers over the ruled.

Which are you?
"During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act."

"Every war when it comes, or before it comes, is represented not as a war but as an act of self-defense against a homicidal maniac."

"Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past."

"Winston could not definitely remember a time when his country had not been at war."

Amendment X - a Call to...???

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."

The all limiting, all encompassing liberty amendment. It is the one amendment that has the power to tear down a leviathan and return freedom to the states and people.

But what was the purpose of explicitly limiting the powers of a federal government to those documented in the Constitution, and no others?

Here is a great History Lesson from the Tenth Amendment Center:
Throughout the period of the Continental and Confederation Congresses (1776-1788), advocates of a strong central government argued that, in addition to whatever express powers Congress had received from the states, Congress also enjoyed additional “inherent sovereign authority.” This theory would allow Congress to exercise many powers not on the list granted by the Articles of Confederation.

During this period, the “inherent sovereign authority” argument was made by John Adams, Benjamin Rush, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and the Hartford Convention of 1780. They argued that Congress necessarily had inherent sovereign authority because it was America’s agent for foreign affairs. They sometimes argued that the British Crown conveyed inherent sovereign authority to Congress by the 1783 peace treaty recognizing independence.

The best-known exposition of inherent sovereign authority appeared in James Wilson’s Considerations on the Bank of North America. Wilson’s purpose in composing this paper was to justify Congress’s decision to charter a national bank, even though the Articles of Confederation had given Congress no such power.

Opponents of the Constitution admitted that the Constitution enumerated federal powers, but they feared that Wilson & Company might raise the same “inherent sovereign authority” claim again. Accordingly, most of the states demanded a constitutional amendment explicitly limiting the federal government to those enumerated in the Constitution. That amendment became the Tenth.

What is particularly surprising in light of this history and the Tenth Amendment’s explicit wording, is that some people still argued that the federal government had a vast reservoir of “inherent sovereign authority.”

The subject came up in a 1907 case (Kansas v. Colorado), but the Supreme Court rejected the idea, citing the Tenth Amendment. But the Court used the theory in a 1936 (U.S. v. Curtiss-Wright) to justify federal foreign affairs powers. And a majority of the court seems to have endorsed it in a 2004 case (U.S. v. Lara) explaining federal power over the Indian tribes.

But as a matter of history and constitutional text, there is no real doubt that the Tenth Amendment rendered the theory of “implied sovereign authority” completely illegitimate.

If this is the case, and the argument of "implied sovereign authority" is moot, then the President of the United States and the members of Congress have no authority to dictate banking and housing bailouts, mandatory healthcare, cash for clunkers, or any other "program" that excessively burdens my explicit right of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness... and therefore the actions of the Federal Government are in violation of the contract between the Federal Government and the People, commonly known as being Un-Constitutional.

Of course, the US Government operates under the premise of "Sovereign Immunity" which means that unless they explicitly waive their immunity, explicitly allowing a suit to be taken, then a citizen cannot take suit against the Government.

The federal government has become an authoritarian dictatorial body, with no means for checks and balances accountable to the people. Elections are hardly tools for change, rather merely opinions of the consumers. No real element of change comes, especially in the way of returning the Federal Government to its Constitutional bounds.

So I pose a question, what power is left to the citizen, aside from petitioning the state for redress of grievances?

Observations from the Tea Party and Lessons Learned

Crowd Control
First and foremost, I have never seen Police Officers so relaxed during a large scale protest of between 5000-10,000 individuals. From my location, which was along Broadway, State Troopers and other officers were largely smiling, happily discussing issues with protesters, and generally at ease. At no time did I notice that police were on edge, even during the peak of the protest when the crowd swelled and there was a lot of movement of a large amount of people. Namely, this can be attributed to the fact that conservative protesters were angry, but carried a gentile disposition. The left has labelled us as right-wing nuts for our protests - but reality would indicate that we were a group of intelligent, level headed citizens, wishing only to carry a clear message: Individual Responsibility is NOT Dead!

Our message
Signs present were vast, but there was one major message - stop government growth and spending. Signs were present that expressed individuals being "tea'd off" at both Dems and Rep politicians, which was an underlying theme of these parties - non-partisan with a common message of government accountability. Some protesters related government spending to government sponsored abortion, as Obama's funding for pro-abortion programs is just that - federally funded murder. Some protesters went satirical, some were serious - stating that "we will fight you for it" referring to resisting Socialist America. My sign read: Hope, Change, Obey with pictures of Hitler, Stalin, and Obama - with a supporting document on hand - the DHS briefing targeting "right wing extremists". It was my intention not to distract from the tea theme, but to draw attention to the specific targeting of political dissent as enemies of the state. This melded with the ultimate theme of government growth and encroachment - which includes spending - on state and individual rights. About 400 pictures were taken of me and my sign - some from media - and some with video cameras. The intent of the video camera was clearly to catch a "right wing nut" compare Obama to Hitler, but my level headed response was such: "What Bush did in growing government and government spending, Obama is perfecting. I am here in support of states and individual rights protected by the 9th and 10th amendment to the Constitution. Many others are here in protest of the growth in spending and the encroachment of government beyond constitutional bounds." Needless to say, I doubt my response will actually make the cut - opting instead to use footage from less-articulate protesters.

Media and Leftist Reporting/Blogging
Media coverage on site was minimal, and national coverage by news organizations other than Fox was mocking or non-existent. In fact, Local Denver 9 o'clock news on Fox 13 (after American Idol) led with a story about a transgender murder, and after the first five minutes no mention, not even in the introduction highlight of stories for the day, did they mention the protests. Fox Cable News, this morning, ran a story which I was unable to watch, but the headline was "Media Mockery" with aerial footage of some of the events of the day. Leftist Blogs are calling the tea parties failures, indicating that the gathering of 200,000+ protesters, each easily representing 10 who couldn't attend because they had jobs, was little more than right wing extremists - twisting messages on signs to fit an agenda of perceived racism, etc. In Denver, how could you consider one of the largest protests ever at the state capital a failure? Media bias bent on talking down to angry citizens, marginalizing our message and purpose, and deterring individuals from joining the angry majority. In short, the left and the liberal media are attempting to dismiss the meaning, seriousness, and potential impact of these protests. In fact, the most stunning sign in Denver read "I hate that you have made me a protester"... the general feeling of many who were in attendance as well as those not able to make it... How dare our government radicalize core conservative values - and how dare the media marginalize our protest! Hugh Hewitt played a clip on his radio show during the protests in which a CNN or MSNBC reporter began yelling at a protester in the middle of an attempted interview - indicating my next topic - the left just don't get it

The Left Just Didn't Get It
Obama made a speech in regard to the tax day protests, admitting that he didn't fully understand why folks were protesting, as he had just cut taxes for certain individuals. Some counter-protesters (all four of them) held signs saying "Just Shut Up and Pay Your Taxes". General Liberal Media rejected the protests as simple partisan venting with no major implications on American Politics - going so far as attempting to back up their case with a "poll" from their website which indicates that "most Americans support the stimulus packages". On every level it is very clear - the Left just don't understand why Conservatives and Libertarians are enraged.

As such, let me spell it out for our, ahem, slower friends...

1. A majority of us on the right didn't support Bush's stimulus spending. Bailouts, entitlements, etc - these are all failed economic programs that do nothing more than stagnate economies - take special note of Japan's economy during the 90's, where bail-outs and entitlements to the citizens increased debt and did nothing to stimulate their economy - we are in the same trap. The left claims that free market killed the economy, but they are lying... it is the encroachment of these failed socialist economic principles that killed the economy, but they on the left used a wool blanket lie that "Bush was in Charge, he is a conservative, so therefore conservative free markets failed". In philosophy 101, this is clearly identified as a false logical argument... also known as an attempt to make something appear true when it is, in fact, not... Bush was a social conservative, NOT an economic conservative... These are two very different and distinct issues that the left want to confuse, but it must be our role to tell the truth.

2. The right don't mind paying taxes - we just want to eliminate unnecessary taxes. We pay more than our fair share. We want an overhaul of the tax system - to a flat or fair tax. Make those in the lower tax bracket buy a stake in America - make them pay a flat rate of 18%... the same rate that the wealthy should have to pay... This rate is proven to promote maximum economic growth - anything less and there is not enough for "social balance", anything more and there is incentive to cheat taxation (and less incentive to succeed).

3. We want the government to curb spending. We want the government to eliminate debt owned to foreign nations.

4. We want the government to return to the Constitutional Republic structure on which it was founded... with smaller federal government, and more control at the local and state levels... re-enact the 9th and the 10th amendment, returning powers to the states, and reducing the role of the federal government to within the boundaries of the constitution.

5. We want the government out of businesses, out of banks (including the Federal Reserve - which is a private bank), out of mortgages, etc. Reduce your size and your role to the powers given to you by the people in the founding document - the Constitution. You have taken an oath to support and defend it - now do so!

6. And we want you and the government to leave our f-ing guns alone! We have a right to arm ourselves for personal, property, and civil defense as an unorganized militia. This is not a right from the government, but a natural right of existence.

To our friends on the left who still don't get it... You want equal outcome for all, we want equal opportunity for all... there is a difference. We should all have the opportunity for success without interference from other forces - least of all the government! We should not ensure that, regardless of level of effort or level of personal contribution, we all get the same product. This is the mindset that de-motivates and de-incentivizes a population, and as such removes or reduces the amount of individuals able or willing to strive for success. We want a reward system for success... you want a reward system for status-quo.

In closing - we will not be marginalized, we will not be cast aside. We will accept that you are radicalizing us, and we thank you for the motivation. We are stronger, smarter, and proven ideals that all free men strive toward. You are weaker, more easily duped, and support ideology that has failed throughout human history.

We will win - you will lose!

Epitaph for America

Here Lies Liberty
1776-2008
A Republic, Unkept

What was born out of the hearts and minds of men much nobler than we, was laid to rest by a conspiracy of the generations to acclimate mankind to the suffering of evil. Liberty, born from the blood and tears of the brave, once shook her fist in defiance of tyranny, now so suddenly finds herself succumb to tyranny's strangle. A struggle through the ages, let pass by complacency.

The birth of liberty was a roar in the hearts of our forefathers, yet so fragile that a single whisper could destroy it's existence. Our fathers crafted liberty from the scorched sands of time itself - a new experiment where man was free to live as he saw fit. An idea so abstract that it defied the logic of history, it was said that such a Republic could only survive if we could keep it.

Liberty gave birth to innovation that defined the presence of man upon this earth - creatures of invention attempting the impossible and succeeding. It was not free men who laid claim to the dreams of success, but it was free men who made it possible. Liberty gave wings to man, lifting him for the first time into the endless skies. Liberty gave man the moon, a feat of our crowing achievement - the endless opportunity of unconditional freedom. Liberty gave man technology to communicate, providing a forum for free and limitless ideas and imaginations.

Liberty has inspired song, poems, and novels. It is longed for by those who lack it. Man yearns for this experiment of personal freedom. It beat in the heart of Americans, and spread throughout the world like a thousand burning embers landing in the dried fields of less fortunate men's hearts - igniting a blaze, a passion for liberation of the self. Men from around the world felt the burning in their chest and joined the land of the free.

But a dark cloud had come over the land, bringing with it the winds of time. The lessons of history, blown away by the resurgence of tyranny, have been lost to many - the many needed in this generation to stand in defiance of tyranny, and, if necessary, spill their blood so that others may soon not forget what noble gift we have neglected. History's lesson is that man is disposed to suffer evils rather than cast aside that to which they have become accustomed. It is a lesson that tyranny knows well, and has become so shrewd at calling upon.

In the heart of every man lies the ability, but the will is lacking. In the lacking of will towards liberty, her death was merely a matter of time. Where once free men fought oppression, it is now welcomed and cheered as it is cast upon our fellow man. The initiation of force for the battle cry of fairness and equality is the battle cry of the cowardly - and has become the battle cry of this nation.

It is not fairness and equality that breeds freedom, but a strong back and a steady hand - hard work and dedication to the cause of freedom and liberty. The will and want to pull the self up from the depths is the inspiration from one man to the other to do the same.

Alas, the treasury has been pillaged, and the wealth of the nation distributed amongst those who choose to do less. They have become so accustomed. And with the destruction of the national wealth, comes the destruction of the personal wealth, for what good does wealth do if it is limited to one hard working free man?

Where the cries of freedom where once heard echoing across the nation, now only are whimpers of each according to his need from those according to their ability.

The freedom of the self has been eroded, and with it, liberty.

So today, we are witnessing liberty being laid to rest - not to solemn tears of the many, but to thunderous applause from around the world. In the hearts of those men across the nation who recognize the loss, those who feel the void deep within their soul, it is the task of these men to no longer endure as the powers of tyranny re-establish themselves. On the hallowed ground where we lay liberty to rest, in the hearts of these men, a pledge must be made to carry the banner of freedom - be not afraid to refresh the tree of liberty. For so long as the ember burns within the heart of a single man, the prospect that freedom will once again shine in the hearts of many is a possibility.

Passionately signed, and with the deepest of sympathy,

Liberty's Child,
Steven Merrill Nielson

Axis of Oil - OPEC, Russia, Mexico, Norway

OPEC is attempting to push cartel nations into cutting production by 2.5 million barrels of oil a day, led by anti-American countries of Iran and Venezuela.

The reason? Oil prices have fallen to about $70 per barrel, taking money out of the hands of the producers. Money that they are using to build an offensive capability unprecedented in their regions.

OPEC is also urging Russia, Mexico, and Norway to join forces in an attempt to crush the gluttonous American nation who has become completely dependent on them for survival...

Almost like Rome and her dependence on Egypt for grain during the fall of the Republic...

OPEC and the other axis of oil countries are not alone... they have help from within the United States. The "Socialist" Party (i.e. the Democrats) leadership of Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Obama, etc. have delayed oil exploration expansion, a key bridge to developing energy independence in the United States. Their lust for power is matched only by their ignorance on domestic issues, such as energy, as a key to basic survivability of not just the nation, but the states which make it up. Free energy exploration has been denied, and the Untied States has become more and more dependent on her enemies for fuel. A nation that cannot fuel itself, and cannot feed itself, cannot defend itself... and as such, cannot be free.

If OPEC and the Axis of Oil puts the squeeze on the US, there will be a cry for war, similar to the battle cry of the Japanese toward the US when we cut their oil imports at the beginning of WWII. In this case, we are the land of the rising sun (though I would argue that it is very much setting). The leaders of the nation will bring us into a true war for oil...

The Federal government, and the Democratic Party have become so out of touch with reality that it puts the very existence of a free people in the Americas at risk. The Republican party is not doing much better - having become a mostly war mongering party, blindly "supporting troops" without thought to constitutionality of their cause - and in doing so, and by not leaving well enough alone with Russia, we have turned a valued ally into an enemy.

But why bring up the constitution - it is merely an historical document which laid the groundwork for the "Constitutional Socialist Democracy" which was birthed in 2008.

America is under siege. The enemies created by the authoritarian colonistic policies of the last 20 years have learned the lessons of political influence - and they are bearing them down upon the US. These are enemies, both foreign and domestic - and they are well versed in hatred of liberty! In response, the consumers of the Untied States are confused - running blindly to support regime change - which is really societal change to socialism. Meanwhile, the Russians are getting their just dessert - payback for the 1989 collapse of their Socialist Union; the Iranians are laughing all the way to the bank, as payback for the Shah. The One World capitalist government is collapsing, and the stage is being set for a One World Socialist take-over. You know it is coming when the GOP president is to the left of Hugo Chavez on economic issues... and the Democratic Candidate for presidency is already making appointments to discuss terms of surrender with the same. With a Socialist America, liberty throughout the world fails, giving birth to the age of worldwide authoritarian control - or continued conflicts for control.

All the while, the Federal Government is contemplating ANOTHER stimulus give-a-way. Another check, bought on credit. Another Trillion dollars towards a national debt... a nation that knows no more bounds... a nation whose treasury is being raped and pillaged by leaders, corrupt maggots all, blood lusting for continued and permanent power. Another solid marker along the highway of socialist reform in the United States.

Arm yourselves.

And understand the meaning of these words:
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of
patriots and tyrants
" - Thomas Jefferson.

When in the Course of Human Events...

The Declaration of Independence, written by men no longer able to idly allow usurpation of their natural right to freedom from tyranny and excessive and burdensome law, has been forgotten by most and ignored by more. What is worse, the importance and relevance of this document is further il-understood in the context of the sequence of events which have recently elapsed.

Over the weekend, the United States ceased to exist as a free nation, as a nation of free men.

This statement has been closer to reality for some time, but the events of the last week have ensured an end to the free society which was so nobly defended by the blood of our forefathers - the same blood that now boils in my veins.

The United States Government, under the guise of security in the financial markets, has simply cast aside the Constitution - a document which identifies the limited government which was allowed by the free peoples of this nation to be established with the limited roles of providing for the common defense of this nation and it's people - and have instituted in it's place an entity with limitless power over finance, business, banking, and the very core of the market system.

This nation ceases to be a Republic, and has now boldly stated that Republics are unnecessary - instead relying on a socialist democracy where the mob rules and the government remains in power of business, jobs, and the once free market. Free thinking minds need not apply - the United States of Freedom has officially gone bankrupt.

Free thinking men continue to do nothing, insisting instead that it is actually a good thing for an entity of once limited power to have unlimited power over businesses - and now has the ability to cease failing businesses for the cause of financial security.

Benjamin Franklin noted: "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety"

So what about those of us who acknowledge the error in the government - what choice do we have but to dissolve the political bands between ourselves and the Federal Government - to declare that we are the Harbinger of Liberty, the protectors of our inalienable rights! Experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Our Federal Government has violated the contract in which WE ALLOW THEIR EXISTENCE. They have proclaimed themselves rulers of their people, masters of the land, and have shown intent to bring slavery and military force upon her people.

The Federal Government is guilty by their own admission of the following:

*It has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies with the purpose of combat against citizens in protest against them
*It has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power, usurping jurisdiction from rightful local citizens.
*It has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving its Assent to their Acts of unwanted Legislation:
- For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us
- For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent
*It has violated the trust of the people, conducting unreasonable search and seizure of persons and property without just cause or due process under the guise of Homeland Security and the "patriot act"
*It has moved to establish itself as superior in all matters where rights and laws are naturally reserved for the people or the states, including but not limited to marriage, education, and local security
*It has established evidentiary proof against itself to be called into question its intention of treason against the good will of the free people of the nation

All these actions occur in violation of the contract between the people and the government. We are under siege, yet we remain distracted and indifferent to action.

My recent near detention at the SeaTac airport in Seattle Washington emboldened me to action. I refused to cooperate with additional screening three hours after I went through security as the TSA agents conducted "random searches" of citizens at my gate. My refusal was on the grounds of the 4th amendment protection against unreasonable search or seizure without probable cause - unless they could present me with a warrant or some other document authorizing such a search of my secure person. They were unable to provide a warrant, and unwilling to show me an authorizing document to conduct this additional and unreasonable full body search. Their response to my protest was to call in their management, who was equally unable to cite any directive or authority to conduct such a search, and when fully frustrated that they could not beat me in a battle of constitutional wits, they threatened to have me arrested. I answered back that there is no need to show unnecessary force, when all I am requesting is documentation of their right to search my person. Needless to say, after a 25 minute stand-off, I took down their names and their position and informed them that i intend to file a full complaint - and allowed them to perform their search under my protest so that I could board my plane. I am currently investigating legal action against the TSA for failure to provide warrant or authority to conduct unreasonable searches under force.

And I call into question any citizen who is unwilling to question the actions of our government. What has this society become? Am I mourning the death of the Republic while others are celebrating the birth of whatever our nation has become?

We should never forget that a government that ceases to act on behalf of the people becomes an enemy of the people. This is just as true today as it was in 1776 - when our Founding Fathers - those brave souls - proclaimed that enough was enough.

You Say You Want a Revolution...

I was recently having a discussion with a fellow Douglas County Republican about the need for change here in America. The discussion followed the concerns with lack of leadership in our "leaders" and their inability and unwillingness to be vessels for change, and further went on to state that short of a Revolution we cannot achieve real change in America.

I made a statement that I want to share with you all. A country will find itself in a revolution when the general population cannot access food/water, cannot house itself, and cannot fuel itself (for the purposes of heating, transportation, cooking, etc).

In the United States, we find ourselves increasingly unable to secure housing... if foreclosures create a lack of housing, the market will crash or we will see people forced to fight for shelter.

In the United States, we find ourselves increasingly unable to access fuel. As the middle class is squeezed out of being able to afford fuel, we will find ourselves unable to travel to and from work, unable to conduct leisure activities, and unable to live life as we know it... all ingredients to social unrest. (Idle hands, and all)

In the United States, do to inflation and fuel costs, we are finding ourselves increasingly unable to afford food. The American people are not starving, by any means... however, as food begins to increase in price to the point where it becomes unattainable, we will fully be in revolution.

This trend is slowly taking place in America... but it is nothing that one slow growing season, or one tragic event cannot hasten. Food, Home, Power.

This theory is being tested in Egypt... They have no access to oil, and now no access to food... and deadly riots are following.

OPEC is failing to increase supply to lower the cost of fuel... the people of Egypt are starving, and resorting to murder in order to obtain a simple batch of bread.

Egypt is turning to the US, who gives $1 billion in aid a year to Egypt, and the UN's World Food Program.

A country that cannot feed itself, and cannot fuel itself, cannot defend itself... and as such, cannot be free.

The US is also at risk of such an end. If the US fails to recognize that out of control inflation, a sense of entitlement, and out of control oil prices are the three main enemies internally to the US, we will then fail to stop our citizens from resorting to breadlines run by the government.

Cry 'HAVOC', and Let Slip the Dogs of War...

This post is equally inspired by three men: William Shakespeare , Winston Churchill, and Steve Emmerson.

Recently, the The Archbishop of Canterbury declared that Sharia Law should be allowed as an alternative to British Common Law. Meanwhile, across Europe, the most common male name for new births is Mohammad. Muslims are rioting in the streets of France, Saudi's are threatening to destroy Britian, and Muslim children in America are signing up for summer camp... but not at Camp Happy Scout... rather at Camp Jihad!

There is a war against peace, a war against freedom, and a war against humanity.

London is burning, metaphorically. And within two decades, Britain will be a Muslim nation. They have done nothing to stop the Muslim population growth, they have an unarmed populace to fight a Muslim British Army, and they have leaders who are thwarted by the threat of violence and instead opt for capitulation and appeasement.

The US is traveling the same road. But it will take much more effort to turn the United States from a freedom loving nation into a Muslim nation. First, the people of the United States must be disarmed. Secondly, the United States children must be re-educated. Thirdly, the Constitution must be amended or destroyed. And finally, the will of the American freedom loving people must be annihilated.

I sit in wonder on many occasions as to what will be the breaking point for America. when will enough be enough when it comes to Radical Muslim appeasement? How late is too late? What fights are we putting off that our children will inherit... and will my soon-to-be-born little girl spend her adult life in Sharia Appropriate garb?

To answer the last question: Not as long as I have air in my lungs.

Is it too late for Britain? If the words of Shakespeare can speak to one drop of English blood in our hearts or our British brothers... if there are British men, women, and children who still love their country as is descirbed in these words... I echo the words of Chruchill: We shall fight in the air, we shall fight on the sea. We shall fight on the beaches and in the streets... We shall never surrender!

And I leave you with these words from Shakespeare's King Henry:

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger
;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect
;
Let pry through the portage of the head
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock
O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest English
.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even
fought And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war
. And you, good yeoman,
Whose limbs were made in England, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding
; which I
doubt not; For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

20 Years of Bush/Clinton - Has it Killed the Party Establishments?

Iowa is still fresh on the minds of everyone this morning, and there are certainly blogs and news articles by the millions with their spins and analysis. I have seen few articles discussing the end of the Dynasty Era of the White House... which was the clear message coming out of Iowa last night.

What do I mean by the end of the era? The Bush and Clinton families have had a stranglehold on the White house for the last 20 years... that is right, 20 YEARS! In that time a generation has been raised, and has watched the increasing divide in this country... a divide created by the establishment set up by these two dynasty families... two families duking it out for two decades on the public stage.

But blowing into the arena, last night, was a strange new wind... a wind that carried a message that politics is no longer business as usual. The people are showing up in droves, and demanding the power back from the establishments... You know, the powers endowed by their Creator... their inalienable rights...

I think what we are bearing witness to is a Revolution... not of the Ron Paul variety, but in that direction. Where the people have the power, nut just in name, but in representation.

And the most important aspect of the change is the message in which it is wrapped. Both winners last night in Iowa won on a message of Hope. They both delivered a message of inspiration and REAL change (not the kind of change where Madeline Albright is standing behind you, ensuring that the "change" is in name only). Both candidates rallied the people, not solely by identity politics, but by innovative ideas delivered in a POSITIVE way.

And for the first time in my lifetime, assuming that the nominees were selected last night, we may have a presidential election where the establishments are not pitted one against the other, but two candidates are running FOR their beliefs... and FINALLY, an election will occur where we are voting in support of our candidate, instead of voting AGAINST the other candidate.

What is more inspiring are the victory speeches from last night. Imagine how uplifting this election would be, political ideals aside, if these were the messages being carried on the march to the White House:

Political elites be damned... This is the beginning of something new... I don't know what it is yet, but it smells like populist driven freedom! The likes of which will be discussed for years to come!

Using US freedom to take down the US?

The World Net Daily released an article on Saturday, outing a Washington D.C. Imam who has been openly discussing his plan to destroy the US government and replace it with the Islamic State of North America by the year 2050.

Imagine that. They or their parents/grandparents immigrate to this country... the land free of oppression, open to all who want to live a life in the pursuit of whatever makes you happy. And once they get here, they decide that they don't approve of how everyone else is living, and plan to change it into an oppressive land, just like the one they fled.

What I don't understand about Muslims is why do you think that your religion trumps any other? What has your religion done to your society? The Middle East was the cradle of civilization, but has since become a cesspool of violence and non-advancement. The cause? Islam!

Now you see that the world has begun doing something great for humanity! We are advancing science, technology, space travel, free enterprise, art, and other various forms of culture... and your only answer is to "Behead those who insult islam"... Your instinct is to destroy advancements, destroy progress...

And the audacity to openly share your plans to take over our free land...

That is exactly why I am a gun owner. This is the very reason that my children will be well trained in current firearm use. And this is the reason that you will have one hell of a fight on your hands.

Your Religion of Peace is nothing more than a plague on this great world. As with any plague, you can only survive if you spread... and as with any plague, it is up to those who do not wish to be infected to protect ourselves.

I, for one, will not live to see a day where Islam trumps the freedoms of the US. I will surely give my life to protect the US against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that would strive to destroy the greatest experiment in self-government and freedom that the world has ever known.

So I say to As-Sabiquin... bring it on you crazy sons-of-bitches! It will be my pleasure to make an example out of you!

*As a note to my readers, I apologize for the harsh words, but I have such trouble believing that this can be taking place in the US, and no-one is daring to stand up and speak out... well, let me be among the first!

The Importance of Gun Ownership

When I mention the word TYRANNY, what does it make you think of? Perhaps you are reminded of the American Revolution, fighting against King George... or perhaps you think of our current involvement in Iraq, in which we are fighting the totalitarianism of islamofascism.

But what if I told you that our very own government is guilty of tyrant-esque behaviors?

Consider New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Law abiding gun-owners, lawfully carrying personal protection were subdued and had their fire arms unlawfully confiscated. That is right... if you choose to defend yourself, the government is guilty of taking away your endowed right of liberty.

And it is bound to happen nation wide unless we send a clear message to our elected representatives that gun ownership is not about hunting or sport, but about maintaining liberty!

Consider that the American Revolution could not have happened without an armed citizenry... In fact the Continental Army was made up of farmers using their own arms.

And consider that the founding documents were written with this very fact in mind, that a well armed citizenry is the only defense against tyranny, protecting our liberties, and defending ourselves against our own government!

And now consider the following two videos:

With conservatives who think like this, who needs liberals?

Implementing a nationwide gun ban, or gun confiscation is nothing less than a Casus belli for Revolution against a Tyrannical US Government. What is the last straw? This is... taking away my RIGHT to liberty... one of the three rights endowed by my Creator.

I hold the Declaration of Independence above the Constitution, because the Declaration of Independence establishes the rule of law as the continuation of our rights to Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness... The Constitution merely sets up a government to protect the rule of law and outlines how the government can protect, but not infringe on our liberties!

We are now in a place where we fear our government... wire taps, spying internally, creation of the North American Union, and now the confiscation of our last means with which to protect ourselves.

I have five words for you:

FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS

A free people, A limited federal government, A pipedream?

What IS the definition of a free person?

Has freedom in America been reduced to the freedom to select between Comcast or Qwest? McDonalds or Wendy's? K-Mart or Walmart?

Has our freedom been reduced to a limit of consumer choices?

Even with politicians... Which President do you want to buy? The inexperienced African American, the Battle-Ax Ex-First Wife, or the Cross Dressing Mayor from NYC?

Why is it that I hear less and less about local governments? About 18 people vying for the spot of Governor in the state of Colorado?

I will tell you why... The federal government is taking steps to reduce the power of the local and state government, and turn everything (literally) into a federal case. Imagine a federal government that works to limit itself, reducing it's own power back to a more constitutionally appropriate role... and letting the states be free?!?

Imagine if the Federal government said "This is not a federal issue, please handle in the states"... This would take care of marriage, abortion, education, transportation, etc, etc...

If there were no income tax breaks on a federal level, then there would be no marriage tax benefit, and thus no need for the federal government to "recognize" marriage. Families can form within the accordance of the local lifestyle... and what makes sense in San Francisco would not have to make sense in St Louis.

If privacy rights were regulated on a state level, then folks who are pro-abortion or anti-abortion could choose to live within communities or states that felt the same way...

Education would be a local issue... and "My two mommies" would not have to be mandatory classroom study for a Des Moines first grader, as it may be in Seattle or New York.

People live in America because we have the freedom to choose... We choose to live in certain communities because we want a certain lifestyle for our families. Why then is EVERY issue a federal issue? Why is EVERY special interest group pressing a federal agenda? What role does our new federal government play with respect to the constitution?

I will tell you, they overstep the constitution on just about every issue... We are in a constitutional crisis... where our freedoms are being peeled back one by one... and the federal government is to blame. It has made itself an overseer of the people... not a vessel for communication, but for ruling.

So at what point do we, as the last vestige of freedom, say that enough is enough, and demand that the federal government withdraw from the states... limiting itself to it's constitutional boundaries?

My guess is that we will not see an outcry on the level that is needed until it is too late...

231 Years... Happy Birthday America

231 years ago, there was a spark that ignited a fire... a fire that would ultimately forge the steel foundations for a country with resolve... a new nation rising up from the ashes of tyranny, like the majestic phoenix... As such, the government that has since been founded must learn from the mistakes of past failed governments, or as the cycle of the phoenix, suffer the same fate.

Government, as an entity, has but one purpose... however "free" the ideology of a democratic-republic may make us feel, the fact is that a government set apart from the people has the power to rule the people.

And so, 231 years after the great phoenix that was this budding democracy so gracefully sprang forth from the ashes of tyranny, do We the People of this great nation find ourselves at the mercy of yet another overbearing and unrepresentative government?

I pose a simple question... has the dream been lost?

Or is there hope that the people of this country can realize the err in their direction, and cast off the corruption found in their leaders? Is there that glimmer of a chance that as this phoenix burns, we can rise up, a great nation with new potential... with true freedom from fear of our own government... that the nation will stand in defense of our enemies, but allow freedoms within our own borders?

Is there hope that the once great roar found in the words of the founding fathers, that roar which has since been silenced to a whisper by lack of conviction out of our fellow man... is there hope that these words are not lost, and that the idea of this great nation, where man can be free, is still within our grasp?

In a nation where "fairness must be legislated" (Clinton-D-New York) and the day of our Independence has become a day for "4th of July Sales" and fireworks, I have to ask these questions... And I hope that you are all asking the same.
