A Moment of Reflection

A young voter might ask "How has politics changed in the last thirty years?" A valid question in the era of political sleaze, right wing extremism, left wing radicals, cult of personality presidential elections, and a tyrannical federal government. The answer can be found in this moment of reflection:

There is nothing extreme about demanding that the government live within the bounds of the contractual obligations established in the Constitution. The current grassroots movement is not a radical element of this nation. We are a constitutional element. We are THE PEOPLE, and we are here to fix this mess.

May God bless the people with liberty from our own government!

Why Jindal may not be the Answer for the GOP

The Southern Avenger hits the nail on the head with this latest commentary... I have been skeptical about Bobby Jindal for some time, in that he is not yet proven to be Libertarian enough (small government, lower taxes, anti-imperialistic)... The GOP, as the SA puts it, does not need to decide on "More Moderate vs. More Conservative"... The decision is "More Libertarian vs. More Authoritarian"

So perhaps it will take more than 2-4 years for a GOP star to rise... on who is truly representative of Libertarian values, which as Regan said, are the Heart and Soul of the Republican Party.

h/t to the Southern Avenger.

The Search for Freedom

Today's post is a major hat-tip to Matt at Search For Freedom, now #1 in my blogroll...

Matt has two excellent videos posted on his site, and I am going to post them here because I think they are essential videos to our conservative foundation and to our political future.

The first is the 1964 Speech made by Reagan. It was supposed to be a pro-Goldwater speech, but it turned into something more. The great communicator, indeed! Had Huckabee used his orator skills to deliver such a moving and strong speech, we would be looking at Huckabee in 2008 instead of McCain.

However, since we have McCain, I am impressed by the next video, a McCain ad. I have been hesitant in endorsing John McCain, until I watched this ad. This ad sends a great message: He gets it! John McCain gets what we are doing for America, where we are at in world politics, and what we need to give conservatives in America a fighting chance at survival and longevity. I've already watched the video a few times... I'm impressed.

Thanks Matt. Two great videos! Two very important messages!
