The reason why I am thanking Bloomberg is that he left the Republican party, and has become a registered Independent (or unaffiliated) politician, stating that:

In other words, his anti-marriage, anti-gun, pro-abortion, pro-immigration stance never really jived with the GOP platform, and he had to leave...
Mr Bloomberg, you may think that you are shaking things up in the Republican party... I say farewell and best of luck to you... oh, can you take McCain, the new liberal President Bush, Rudy, and the other RINOs with you?
Which brings me to another point... if a liberal RINO does (by some chance) get the presidential nomination for the 2008 race (i.e. Rudy), I think I will have to leave the party myself.
You may understand my frustration... but if the "conservative" platform becomes more and more liberal by selecting more liberal heads of the party, we may as well combine the two party system into one large party. I refuse to be part of the "NEW Bull Moose party", or join the march for socialism in the United States!
