Proctor and Gamble are continuously running a commercial during the Olympics with a clear message, "Proctor & Gamble - Proud Sponsor of Moms"
In the wake of the Pro-Life Superbowl ad and the unnecessary outcry from the pro-abortion groups, the Proctor & Gamble commercial goes one step further and endorses life, and mothers who choose life.
Life, as I have stated in many previous arguments on the issue, is the foremost and most supreme natural right, without which no other right exists. It is not an issue of "punishment", as Obama believes - rather a blessing on humanity that another soul is gracing this universe to live, laugh, and love - to experience all that life has to offer.
To Proctor & Gamble - my hat is off to you.

The Meaning of Life...
Unemployment has reached 10% in the United States... 16 million people without work... 16 million people unable to pay rent, buy food, or pay the bills. Assuming each individual pays ten bills in a month, 160 million businesses a month will now not be receiving payment. Assuming each person would be paying $1000 in income taxes for the year, that is $16 Billion lost income revenue. Consider that those individuals would be likely to purchase at least $100 worth of Christmas toys had they been working this season, that is $1.6 Billion that will not be exchanged for goods or services into our economy this Christmas Season... The reports are all around us on this day: Lost jobs, lost revenue, lost income, lost taxes. The focus of our life energy seems to have been taken very drastically off course.
Consider this a moment of clarity.
Step back from material things... from jobs and homes, from cars and reality TV, from iPods and bottled water... what are you left with? You. The simplest yet most profound statement you can make is simply "I exist". You exist in mind, body, and soul. You are a force of energy, a source of love, an embodiment of the most divine. The material is distraction. The spiritual is reality.
When the student is ready, the teacher will come... so it has been said.
What is more divine than life? The collective experience of living, the personal journey of emotion. Life is our spiritual interface with the material world. It is our opportunity to learn, to experience, to seek out, and to love. These are the lessons of all history's spiritual teachers... but we are failing the test.
We are currently involved in multiple wars around the globe. There are those who seek to do harm for the sake of doing harm - thoughtless massacres, savagery. We have perfected the art of murder in the name of religious duty. We are failing the test. We can see it in the eyes of the innocent victims of senseless shootings, bombings, raids, etc. The cries of children, women, and men mourning the loss of their fellow man echo the distress of the individual soul, and the collective soul. What we do affects our ability to exist, and undermines our ability to achieve a higher state of understanding of the meaning of this life.
Should we not vest every last ounce of energy and effort to make our fellow man smile, instead of cry? Is the challenge so great, the purpose of all things so complex that we have lost our ability to recognize the truest truths, the simplest concepts, the holiest of purposes? Have we become so distracted by the things of the world that we forget the teachings of unconditional love? Pick your religious icon of choice, isn't their teaching that of altruism? Across all religions, all faiths, all spiritual concepts, unconditional selflessness is the holiest of hollies - the one common truth - the meaning of life.
The conflict of this world comes from the individual evolution of spiritual consciousness. Just like the evolution of civilization, the evolution of spiritual consciousness begins with the simplest task of just surviving, and culminates with true enlightenment. The conflict arises when one group at a level of consciousness fails to comprehend or accept that of another. Or it is out of dutiful obedience to their collective god, rejecting any other explanation of the same by way of the sword. In simple terms, religious wars for the sake of religious observances. Be it Islamic Jihad which caused mass genocide in Africa to Christian inquisitions which bore witness to human sacrifice in the early Americas, religious warfare has been the leading cause of torment in the history of this planet. What is most ironic is that all of the great teachers warned of this, and offered the answer, the truth, the secret to life... love and happiness. Does not the New Testament teach that of Faith, Hope, and Love the greatest is Love/charity... the complete giving of yourself for selfless reasons. It is not done out of obedience to God, but out of Oneness WITH God. The secret - revealed? God lives within us all, as the source for life, the breath of life. Our soul, our spirit, our very existence is the divine order from chaos - realizing this divine oneness is the highest level of spiritual consciousness.
Life was created in the image of Perfection. The breath of life was given, and with it the love of the most Divine. The energy of our spiritual consciousness is greater for knowing this - that God is Love. Not simply a bumper sticker or a televangical slogan... God = Love, and therefore Love is God... To love is divine. To Charity is Divine. Unconditional Altruism, the complete giving of the self, is the meaning... not out of duty, but out of divinity.
It is not what we have, what we give, or what we say... It is How we live, how we love, and how we share which allows our spiritual evolution... These are the teachings of all religious lore, legends, and leaders... from the earliest teachings of creation to their modern day counterparts, the message has remained unchanged since the beginning of time. Follow the golden rule and you will surely know God.
The face of God is found in the face of your fellow man. In the eyes of every man, woman, and child you will find the secret of life. When the eyes are filled with tears, filled with pain, filled with fear - there is an energy, an imbalance, a darkness being applied to the universe... The knot in your stomach, the pain in your tears, the longing for an embrace of comfort - it is life. When you are overcome with joy, when you see your child at birth, when your heart jumps out of your chest and you find yourself longing for a shared embrace of joy - it is life. There is an energy that connects us all... the spiritual consciousness, the energy of life, the power of humanity, the holy spirit. It is our compass. It is spiritual intuition, and it will guide you to the truth.
The power of prayer, of meditation, of a simple thought is real. It is the connection with God, the oneness with the universe, the evolution of the spirit. We know these rituals by different names and understand them at different levels of our own consciousness. They are the universal truths... the secret to happiness, the meaning of this life.
Be happy in your own mind. Love others unconditionally. Accept that each individual exists on their own level of spiritual consciousness, and judge not. Be kind in your thoughts and in your actions. Offer a positive thought or a prayer for a stranger in need. Forgive as freely as you have been forgiven. Lend a helping hand to one of the 16 Million neighbors in need of compassion. All of this is Love - the meaning, my friends, of Life.

Feel Good Thursday - Why wait 'til Friday
In an effort to better enjoy life, while seeking to understand existence on a deeper level, I have recently made a personal pledge of "happiness". This pledge is aimed not only at making me feel better, but actually to be a better person. The rules are simple -
Whether you choose to give it a try or not, at least stay positive and enjoy some feel good energy from me to you by way of a few songs!

Love is the purest of energies... share it!
1. Try to smile moreI took a few days off over the last week from blogging because of this. I wanted to restructure free from outside events... and am now more able to incorporate the bombardment of negative information with some positive thoughts. It has been a great week as a result.
2. Look people in their eyes when talking to them
3. Make a conscious effort to think a happy thought at least five times a
day - about the freshness after a rain, the chill in the air, the color of the
leaves, the wind in your face, my daughter's smile... something happy.
4. Make a conscious effort to "project positive energy" at least once a day. Think
of it like a rock dropping into a pond. Envision yourself as the rock, and the
waves spreading out are that positive energy... anyone caught in your "wave" of
energy may just have picked up on that positive thought/energy and may have a
better day in return.
Whether you choose to give it a try or not, at least stay positive and enjoy some feel good energy from me to you by way of a few songs!

Pursuit of Happiness
I have previously shared posts on Life, and on Liberty. Now to close out the series on the three explicitly defined rights, I feel compelled to share with you, first, a video from Fox News on the subject:
All the points shared by this commentator I tend to agree with - namely that Conservative Americans tend to lead happier lives. Our outlook on life in general is more optimistic, and we are more likely to give of ourselves. This is not a pat on the back - but the statistics from the video seem compelling.
But personally - what is the right of "the pursuit of happiness"?
In discussing this question with economic scholars, I have consistently heard that it is in reference to the pursuit of financial wealth and personal prosperity.
In discussing the question with religious friends, I have consistently heard that it is the freedom to worship openly without persecution.

The message being shared by the video is simple - there are constant truths, and those constants create an overwhelming sense of happiness or unhappiness. For instance - the ability and willingness to give freely to those in need - regardless of the individual, on the whole those who are able to give feel happier.
He also hinted at family. We all have family - and the betterment of the relation with our families is the most immediate source of happiness... there is nothing simpler than kindness in the home - a smile, an extra long hug... something that says "You are safe and loved"... Even with extended family - conduct some genealogical research and reach out to a distant cousin... you would be surprised at the truth in the Lakotah Phrase "Mitaku Oyasin" (We are all related)
Truly - happiness is what you make of life that fulfills your soul's yearning. Find it on a mountain top, or behind the counter of a soup kitchen... Happiness is giving more of yourself than you take in...
That is a right that no government can take from you.

Liberty, Lībertās, Liberté
In June, I began a three part series on Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness - Titling my first in the series simply "LIFE".
To continue the discussion, a topic that is frequented on this blog, let us discuss LIBERTY.
As I began the last topic, I made a special not that Life was listed as the first inalienable right in the Declaration of Independence - and in the order of three it should be similarly noted that Liberty is the second of the three rights specifically mentioned (though it should also be reminded that man is not limited to these three rights, these three were simply worthy of special attention in the founding document). Once the Right of Life has been established, it is most important to identify that this most precious gift is free from fear, free from external rule, and free to use it's abilities, thoughts, and ambitions.
Where life is the most precious gift from Our Father, Liberty is the promise between men to respect the life of our fellow man - a task that requires self restraint, self control, and personal responsibility - all moral compasses provided through devotion to Higher Standards in Faith. Life is breathed into our beings as a promise - the simplest of promises, unrestrained by man - which may be why it is not protected beyond being listed as an inalienable right... however, Liberty - the promise between men - is fully defined in the Contract of our Government, the Constitution.
After the creation of the Government, the first duty was to amend the constitution to purposefully limit the ability of the government to impede personal liberty, and to also define the concept of liberty which would become our law. The Bill of Rights begins by restricting the ability of the government to make laws restricting free practice of religion, speech, press, and peaceful protest. The first amendment is the most widely referenced and most widely known protection of rights - and unfortunately the general knowledge of protected rights stops there.
Regardless of the knowledge of the remaining first rights, it is most important to understand the INTENT of the bill of rights - to limit the power of the government in regards to controlling the lives of the citizens of this nation. It was never the intent of the Federal Government to act as a business entity, to act as an Education entity, or to act as a Healthcare Provider. Based on the principles of liberty, it is the personal responsibility of the free citizen to educate himself, to work and consume within his own abilities, and to maintain his health on his own or with the help of his own doctor, who is equally free to supply a service or not.
The remaining rights outline the freedom of self protection for the better protection of the state, the protection of personal property from the government, the protection of the self against the government, the basis for legal proceedings, and my two favorite amendments - 9th and 10th: the explicit establishment of personal Liberty, and the explicit limit of Governmental jurisdiction.
Amendment 9: "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."
Literally meaning that a right not listed in the Constitution does not mean that it does not exist (like the right to life). This is a searing reminder that the constitution limits GOVERNMENTS powers - NOT the PEOPLES powers.
Amendment 10: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
The sweet sound of liberty - so poetic in principle.
But, I ask, what role does liberty play in our daily lives? Where has liberty gone off to at the federal level - or even at the state and local level for that matter?
Since the dawning of civilization, man has dreamed of liberty, only to find that society restricts liberty. The concept of society begs for leaders, which turn into rulers. So is the case in this country. We began with leaders, and often times find ourselves the subjects under rulers. We are subject to laws restraining liberty in every aspect of our lives - transportation, entertainment, work, food, clothes... everything is regulated, everything is limited... we have liberty under constraints - which is not liberty at all.
There is an old saying - the less influence God has on you, the more influence the Government needs to have on you... literally: if you cannot control yourself in a civil society, we will do it for you!
Liberty is an ideal, burning in the hearts of men who wish to be free from excesses in life and government... however, we are subject to the society in which we live - where equal men choose to be ruled rather than take personal ownership of their liberty, and thus surrender that of their fellow man - or likewise, demand ownership of the fruits of their fellow man.

Echo of the Life Argument Against Obama
I received a Courtesy Copy of an E-mail sent between two friends, one of whom I work closely with. The e-mail, posted below, was in regards to Obama's leftism regarding economic matters and abortion. I would like to share the body of this message with you, my readers, as a follow up to my previous post about Obama's stance on Partial Birth Abortion. If we do not stand up for the most helpless in our society, then what possibly could be more righteous. Who could be more helpless of a group than our unborn children created in the image of God fashioned by His Hand? Do we dare support a group who openly 'destroys' life, which is a nice way of saying 'murders' our children?
Slap a man. . . it's an insult and a misdemeanor
Slap a child. . . it's abuse and a felony.
Slice open a child in the womb. . . it's unspeakable but called a Choice?
Slice open a million children EACH YEAR in the USA . . . Even barbaric or demonic are too kind!
For this, America is receiving God's wrath!
Or maybe we should stop calling ourselves Americans and start calling ourselves Ninevites! But even the Ninevites didn't kill their own children in the womb just those of their enemies! This stupidity of minimizing the importance of this genocide is unprecedented.
How can I face my Lord who created life and say to Him that I supported an organization or leader who openly supports destroying life? I will NOT! I might as well join forces with the very one who kills, steals and destroys. Do NOT be deceived - sugar coated poison still kills. No amount of charisma will make it okay to support an accomplice to epoch mass murder.
30+ million murdered unborn children just in the USA alone. More than Rwanda, Darfur, Hitler and Stalin combined. We live in the true Killing Fields. I will not ever bow or be fooled into supporting a leader who says that this is an acceptable policy. Nor will I ever believe that this is not the prominent crisis facing America. Anything else that I hear be it poverty, education, war in Iraq, drunk driving, global warming, gun rights, racism, the environment, the economy, gay rights, labor rights, nothing compares! Name any issue in the US that has caused the murder directly or even indirectly of 1.3 million souls in 2007. If there is such a cause let's put it above this issue of life and death. If not let us all repent and then stand up and stop this abomination!!!

If we do not stand up for the most helpless in our society, then what possibly could be more righteous. Who could be more helpless of a group than our unborn children created in the image of God fashioned by His Hand? Do we dare support a group who openly 'destroys' life, which is a nice way of saying 'murders' our children?
Slap a man. . . it's an insult and a misdemeanor
Slap a child. . . it's abuse and a felony.
Slice open a child in the womb. . . it's unspeakable but called a Choice?
Slice open a million children EACH YEAR in the USA . . . Even barbaric or demonic are too kind!
For this, America is receiving God's wrath!
Or maybe we should stop calling ourselves Americans and start calling ourselves Ninevites! But even the Ninevites didn't kill their own children in the womb just those of their enemies! This stupidity of minimizing the importance of this genocide is unprecedented.
How can I face my Lord who created life and say to Him that I supported an organization or leader who openly supports destroying life? I will NOT! I might as well join forces with the very one who kills, steals and destroys. Do NOT be deceived - sugar coated poison still kills. No amount of charisma will make it okay to support an accomplice to epoch mass murder.
30+ million murdered unborn children just in the USA alone. More than Rwanda, Darfur, Hitler and Stalin combined. We live in the true Killing Fields. I will not ever bow or be fooled into supporting a leader who says that this is an acceptable policy. Nor will I ever believe that this is not the prominent crisis facing America. Anything else that I hear be it poverty, education, war in Iraq, drunk driving, global warming, gun rights, racism, the environment, the economy, gay rights, labor rights, nothing compares! Name any issue in the US that has caused the murder directly or even indirectly of 1.3 million souls in 2007. If there is such a cause let's put it above this issue of life and death. If not let us all repent and then stand up and stop this abomination!!!

Thanks Jay. You stated the case for life very eloquently, and it is greatly appreciated. Indeed, this is the number one issue facing our society today. That it is not the rally cry for the GOP is due, in part, because McCain's stance is not far from Obama's. Thank Heaven for Sarah Palin!

Obama will not yield on this issue - in his own words. If there are undecided voters out there, print out the above picture - see if that helps them change their mind. Refer them to Obama's position against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. And ask them if the federal government should be supporting infanticide.
Arguing over abortion in the first trimester is one thing... but being strongly in favor of killing children is another.
All men are endowed by their Creator to unalienable rights - among those is LIFE. When we cease to follow Natural Law and Natural Order, we cease to exist as a civil society!
