Tomorrow is election day. One more reason to fight establishment candidates in favor of true reform in our government: Corruption. This RT report highlights insider trading that is protected for legislators. Harry Reid's name comes up in this report. Pay attention, Nevada!

The Scariest Halloween for Democrats
A cool, crisp fog hung low over the dawn twilight. A stagnant air echoed a tense silence across the nation of states. Light slowly crept from the horizon, like an entombed body pulling itself from beneath the earth. In the distance a steady rustle in the fresh amber leaves approached.
Crinch-crunch, crinch-crunch.
My eyes strained to catch a glimpse of the figure through the fog; a silhouette, hunched and foreboding slowly materialized.
My stomach become knots and a shiver down my spine accompanied the erect neck hairs. Something was not right. My heart began to race as the rustling footsteps continued to approach.
Crinch-crunch, crinch-crunch.
Seconds became hours. Frozen with fear, I was helpless against the impending encounter. My hands began to shake as my body became overcome with adrenaline. This is the moment. Fight or flight. My pulse quickened, my breath steadied. The figure continued forward, locking onto me as his next target.
Crinch-crunch, crinch-crunch.
Suddenly from somewhere above the fog a raven shouted out in panic; his deep bellow shattering the crisp stillness. My senses were overwhelmed; my ears shuttered at the sound, my face cringed, my body contorted grossly and disfigured at what my eyes were seeing.
The silhouette stepped into view. His large dark hands reached out in my direction. He did not lose pace.
Crinch-crunch, crinch-crunch.
With a 'THUD' the figure dropped death at my feet, and disappeared from view, once more into the fog.
Crinch-crunch, crinch-crunch.
The fading of his footsteps returned me to my foggy prison. The air thick with the musk of what lay at my feet. Pulpy and damp, my nostrils stretched as the scent rose from below. My eyes, fearing the result, slowly moved down to reveal what I had feared; only worse.
I knelt and scooped the limp mass into my arms. Tears of frustration and fear filled my eyes. My body trembled. A weakness overcame me; I dropped to my knees. The thud next to my hunched and weeping body revealed the source of my terror.
I reached my hands to the sky and roared in agony, arching my back and sending the scream of horror through the still air. The hurried beat of wings beyond my sight, and the pause in the distant rustling steps of leaves indicated that I had received my gift this Autumn morning.
I collapsed, clutching my arms in a death grip across my chest. Panic coursed through my veins.
Laying next to me on the ground, the huddled mass of paper; whose headline read "Conservatives Sweep Congress. Republicans regain the Majority".
I am shattered, shaken, and broken. I have been brutalized and beaten. Trepidation is my life, now. The unknowing is my purgatory. I am alone.
I am...
Pelosi.
Crinch-crunch, crinch-crunch.

CHARGE to 2010...
Lt. Col. Alan West in Florida - a candidate for US Congress in Florida's 22nd Congressional District - better known as West Palm Beach.
Though I cannot endorse this candidate fully at this time, mainly due to my not knowing enough about his 10th Amendment stance nor his 'world police' stance, I do applaud his libertarian conservative rhetoric... Let's hope, of course, that it is more than rhetoric, and that THIS is a rising star in the Core Value Republican farm team...
He sure gives one hell of a speech! And fancy that - No teleprompter!

So Much for Transperacy: Obama Lies and Lies...
The Trillion Dollar health care bill being negotiated right now, by Democrats alone, and behind closed doors, is in direct contradiction to Obama's repetitive campaign promise:
At the same time the C-SPAN CEO is slamming Obama for his use of C-SPAN promises during the campaign and completely reneging on the simple promise of transparent negotiations on Health Care.
Imagine what else this clown said that was a lie - anyone else ready for some real Change?
Support candidates like Craig Williams for US Senate and James Watkins for US Congress (both from the state of WA).
Let's put everyday citizens in the government who will return the government to the everyday citizen!
Enough is Enough!

Michigan Congressman blasts Healthcare - oldie but relevant
This video is from July, but it is coming to my attention today. Listen to the 4 minute blast this Michigan Congressman gives the health care proposals... listen carefully, then DONATE to this man. We need to identify the congressmen who "get it", like Joe Wilson, and support their campaigns, as well as candidates who are contesting ultra-liberal democrats across the nation.
Re-emphasizing what Rep Rogers says, the Congress is attempting to "give up" on American innovation... this is the best description I have heard to date on the ongoing struggle. And he clearly points out that this declared failure of the American innovator is THE CLEAR CHOICE OF DEMOCRATS... go get 'em, Rep Rogers!
h/t to West Sound Politics for linking the video, and to the 4.3 Million viewers on YouTube who have already seen this video and passed it on! We cannot all watch C-SPAN all of the time, so these videos are sometimes slow to spread... but the message needs to be heard.

Is Colorado's Caucus System Obsolete?
As a member of the Douglas County Republican Party, it is my job to support the caucus system, and the candidates that are selected by the process. However, it would seem that the caucus system is not resonating with the voters.
Consider CD-6 - The seat being vacated by Congressman Tom Tancredo (who did not go through the caucus process himself)
The CD-6 selected two candidates: Ted Harvey with ~55% of the vote, and Steve Ward ~45% - State senators both.
However, in the march towards the August 12th Primary, polls are indicating that the two candidates achieving the most success are the two who opted to petition on to the primary ballot instead of participating in the caucus process. Rocky Mountain Right has provided polling information showing the race in CD-6:
Being a member of the party in Douglas County, I often hear two sides to the argument regarding caucus and assembly. In Douglas County we love our elected Republicans - and they all support the caucus system. However, some of these elected officials petitioned on, opting out of the assembly process during their initial run. This alone resonates with the anti-assembly crowd.
The question is, then, does the caucus system give the best candidate? Do the party activists know more about who is best set to serve the people, or has it simply become a "get in line and wait your turn" process?
I was discussing this very issue with a fellow Republican party member a little over a week ago, and he was adamant that the assembly process is doing little more than wasting money of the county party. So is this true?
In a district, such as 6th congressional, where upwards of 40% of the electorate are new to the area within the last 4 years, a caucus system supports more of an "old hat" mentality - that is, those who have been involved for a number of years and are long-term activists in local politics. Petition candidates play to that 40%, introducing them to the change they represent in the area, often informing them that even though they have missed out on the local process, they still have a voice in the primary. It is this fissure that creates the divide in local politics, even though it plays to their strength with the masses.
So, are candidates that are vetted by the old hats better for the people, or do we embrace candidates that rely more on name recognition and general election campaigning - working the people - to represent our district?
With a system that seems to be providing great candidates, but little more boost than "top-billing" in the primary election, one has to wonder if the system is obsolete. Has Colorado outgrown the assembly?
We will surely see in 2 weeks.

Housing Bail-out? Time to Pledge Allegiance to a Different Flag!
"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." - Thomas JeffersonThe United States of America has hit an iceberg, and she is quickly taking on water. Our government has run this ship to her demise.
With a 9% approval rating, an economy in the tank, a lame duck president at the helm, Freedom and Liberty have been the first casualties of this New Union... and now the very people whom we so carelessly elected into office have begun sealing the coffin of the greatest experiment in the history of man.
The treasury is being plundered to the thunderous applause of the masses. The burden to bail-out the vain and covetous leeches of our society is being placed on our own pocketbooks... We are being given marching orders by a government that won the vote, but represents no more than 1/4 of the population respectively - that marching order is "On to the Gallows!" - for in this day we are seeing the death of the last best hope in the world.
If George Bush and the Republicans in Congress are no more willing to stop the Socialist Dictum in the United States, then perhaps we deserve a President Obama - who makes no attempt to disguise his vision for the socialisation of the United States. In fact, the afore mentioned parties are PUSHING the dictum!
Thomas Jefferson, the man who explained that the Tree of Liberty requires nutrients in the form of blood (from tyrants and patriots), also prognosticated that happiness in our society was directly linked to the separation of the people from government meddling! President Reagan understood this: "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help."
However, today we find ourselves at a crossroads in this great experiment.
Two branches of the US government are in gross violation of the Contract with America - The US Constitution. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court will likely be unable (or unwilling) to rule as such before the checks are handed out... checks from a treasury that is already absolutely void of funds.
See the fire on the horizon... smell the smoke... it is not the blaze in California - it is the Federal Reserve printing out monopoly money adorned with the faces of dead presidents.
Somehow in America we have lost the ability to do what is right over what is expedient or easy. We have lost the resolve to push through the hardships of our own misfortunes, in favor of wallowing at the robes of the powerful, begging for mercy. And mercy they shall deliver - for it is the vote of the pitiful that is keeping them in power. Promises of deliverance, handouts, freedom from their poor choices guarantees their vote - quid pro quo.
Little do these blind beggars realize that they steal from the left hand to satisfy the right... they are undoing their own great society, and ensuring the slavery of their children and grandchildren...
Am I being melodramatic - or am I being real? Are these words hard to read? Why - because they are true?
Free healthcare - free education - free housing - free soup?
When the government became an entity feared by the people, the society was lost... now it is an entity separate from the people (less a short voting season which makes no promise of actual change or restoration of liberty). When the government separates itself from the people, and works towards it's own ends - it is in violation of contract and stands to be recalled.
I can no longer pledge allegiance to a flag that represents the rape of my liberty, of my labors, of my life! I now make it my effort to remove any individual from office who supports socialist legislation such as the housing bail-out. I refuse to support a union of socialist republics - empowered by the slothfully covetous and vain masses undulating for that orgasm of government expediency in funding their ill-gotten goods.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the original intent of this nation, and to the individual liberty endowed upon us, for which IT stands, representing a nation free from tyranny, a people banded together against such, under Nature's God, indivisible, ensuring the continued struggle for liberty and true justice under the rule of natural law, for all.

Heartbreak and Chaos in the Rocky Mountains
For better or for worse, I saw a football city become a baseball town overnight, and I loved every minute of it. Originally from Seattle, which is a baseball town indeed, it was odd to see a half filled stadium and fans that did not know how to cheer... enter the winning streak, and viola! It was like being in baseball heaven...
But baseball comes with high AND low points... and getting swept in the World Series is a very low point!
However, there is hope for the Rockies... the increased name recognition and appeal will bring more money to the ball club, and maybe, just maybe, we can afford some solid pitchers!
As if 2008 wasn't going to be hectic enough, now Douglas county (and other south of Denver counties) are going to be scrambling to not lose any more seats to the liberal democrats.
Tom Tancredo has been a beacon of conservative hope in Colorado, and his absence will surely be felt nationally and locally.
My hope is that he throws his name in the hat for the Colorado Senate seat and challenges Bob Schaffer in the primaries. This could be the key to beating Mark Udall, and maintaining a 1-1 Democrat/Republican split in the Colorado US Senate. Or perhaps, due to his extended bid for the White House, he will hold off on a Senate run in an attempt to unseat liberal Ken Salazar in 2010. Either way, I say "RUN TOM RUN!"

Energy Independence Will Require Radical Changes
Before I begin my discussion on this topic, let me preface by saying that the origin of the Republican Party was in radical ideology... Equality for all men, regardless of skin tone, in a time when slavery was openly practiced over much of the US, and the world. So we were born on radical ideas, and it is on such that we must continue to grow. Most presidential candidates are talking about an energy independence plan that revolves around a 20-40% reduction in foreign oil consumption by 2020... This is a fancy way of saying that you have a plan, with a fine-print-promise of "It aint gonna happen!"
Energy independence, serious energy independence, does not come from 20 year plans with little or no gain on current situations. Such plans guarantee future energy based wars in regions of the world that would rather not have US occupation.
So to get results, we need Radical Changes... radical changes in the form of Radical Policy and Radical New Laws. I am not one to support bigger government or more laws... but in this case it is a new law that will steer the "norm" in a new direction.
When the congress passed their "sweeping fuel consumption reform" they praised themselves as the car companies grumbled in protest... the reform: mandating 40 mpg average on ALL vehicles by 2020... in hopes to reduce fuel consumption. But with the number of vehicles on the road increasing each year, this does nothing to energy consumption but maintain the status quo!
We need an energy independence bill to go through both houses and the oval office that will guarantee immediate and drastic change... Complete energy independence in less than 8 years from the time of passage... Sounds impossible, but is it? Oh, it will piss off the oil industry... but it is time to "break the addiction". My legislation would look something like this (legal jargon omitted) -
1. 100% of All new vehicles to be sold in the United States shall be Ethanol E-85, Flex Fuel, Ethanol/Hybrid technology, Bio-Diesel, or otherwise burning less than 15% total petrol per tank of fuel by the year 2012.
2. All Oil industry subsidies shall be stopped, and money used instead to prepare the ethanol & bio-diesel infrastructure, including ethanol fuel crops, ethanol / bio-diesel production, and distribution centers. All fueling stations shall be required to provide alternative fueling options (ethanol and/or bio-diesel)
3. US should fund creation of new power plants within the US, to include ONLY clean fuels, excluding Nuclear fission plants. Plants should include Offshore-Wind, Tidal Generators, Geothermal Generators, and Solar Plants.
4. States should be classified as "Sunshine" or "Non-Sunshine" states/regions. For instance, Eastern Colorado gets 300+ days of sunshine a year... this will classify it as a Sunshine State / Region.
5. ALL homes and buildings in "sunshine regions" shall be required to install Solar Panels and energy storage. Cost of installation shall be offset by government subsidies to the solar panel manufacturers. This will drastically reduce the need for power plants, and ensure reduction in natural gas/coal/oil burning emissions. The solar power could provide 75% of all housing energy consumption, eliminating energy draws / black-outs / etc.
Taking the steps above we, as a country, reduce emissions of petroleum based fuels by at least 50-75%. We will also reduce the need for mass power distribution, allowing power share of stored personal solar energy. we will completely eliminate the need to import fuels from the middle east and south America by 2020 (not just reducing by 20-40%). It assures that we become not only energy independent from foreign governments, but greatly adds to our own personal energy independence from big power companies... as well as promising better stewardship of the land in which we live.
This is a radical shift in America, and a challenge that will rival the first moon program to implement on such a short timeline...
But it CAN be done.
In fact, I have freely given my independent ideas on this policy change to Bill Richardson and the You Tube community last week, and I offer it to you (my reader) today. If there is not movement in the congress or by a presidential candidate to adopt these radical policies, I will have to take up the fight myself!
Give the policy some thought, and please feel free to comment...
God Bless.

Sea to Shining "Si" - part II
It looks as if Congressman Tancredo was on the same wavelength as me! Keeping the pro-illegal crooks on their heels, Tom Tancredo is in the final stages of writing an immigration reform bill that rejects amnesty... His presidential website also has a good outline of what the bill includes... though I say that it falls short of the knock-out blow, I think Tancredo is doing a great thing here in keeping the crooks off balance!

Congress at Mid-Year break, best thing for country!
The citizens of America can rest easy for the time being... Congress is in a mid-session break!
I have noticed over the last few months that the government's approval ratings have been dismally low, in the 20's (%)... and an article on CNN.com that I read through this morning had a great message: right now it is not so much Democrat v. Republican, rather the People v. the Government...
Of course there was the usual anti-Republican tone written into the article, but the message is clear, and we have addressed it here many times... We are currently being governed by an unrepresentative government, hell bent on tearing the nation apart via corruption and bad policies on both sides of the aisles.
I sincerely hope that as the 2008 elections near, that each party take notice of the horrid legislators currently in office, and choose to replace them with an alternative candidate. The only thing that can turn this ship around is some action on the part of the party and the people... if the party doesn't listen, then dont vote for the bad incumbent!
Fortunately for me, I live in Tancredo's district... so as long as he is planning on retaining his seat there should be no problem... as he is the loudest voice for the people in the congress...
God Bless!

Nepotism, and the 23% approval rating in congress
Really, I have nothing more to add... this article really says it all:
Both Republicans and Democrats in power are corrupt...
Unfortunately the masses are too lazy, too ignorant, or too focused on "the win" to make a change... so we get our 23% approval rated legislature...
Enjoy!

Lame Duck Government?

With the executive and legislative branches of the government both polling in the 25% - 29% approval rating, it is very hard for me to understand how anything they are doing now is relevant?!?
I am not anti-Bush... but here we have a lame duck president with less than two years with which to save face on his presidential legacy. The media and growing lack of support for ongoing operations in Iraq have nailed that as the major legacy... However, it would seem that in an attempt to make the much needed positive headline, Bush is forgetting the tax-cuts that stopped the economic slowdown of the early millenia. So then I have to ask, why, dear president, are we trying to push through unpopular legislation that would allow illegal immigrants to be a lower-than-working class of society, with little to no hope of climbing the rungs of the ladder out of poverty any sooner than three generations???
Oh, that's right. Corporate America needs a cheap labor force. Is that why my execs make tens of millions of dollars a year, and the laborers, such as myself, are left working extended shifts in the midst of understaffing and budget cuts?
And the legislative branch... oh, where do I begin? After a sweeping November election by the Democratic Party, promising to usher in a new era of open government... well, that idea flew right out the window!
So it seems like there are an equal amount of ethics issues on both sides of the aisle - and we are in need of some across the board government reform. That is not to say that we need to change the laws limiting... blah blah blah... rather, the corrupt individuals who are running us down the fast track to Hades need to step out of the way, and give some fresh new minds the reigns.
It is about time for the lame duck government to listen to the will of the people... That is, the Citizens of the US...
Don't get me started on the judicial branch!
