Presidential Debates

As you may or may not know, the next round of Presidential debates are this weekend. The Democrats are taking the stage on Sunday June 3rd (7 pm ET) and the Republicans are taking the same stage on Tuesday, June 5th (7 pm ET). Both debates are hosted by and being aired on CNN.

Let's start by hoping that the CNN debates are more productive than the Democrat's first debate, which was more cordial than confrontational. And let's hope that the questions are more substantial than the MSNBC blunder of the first Republican debate. That is to say that I want to see two in depth debates, with well researched topics, and some seriously tough questions. This is not the Miss Universe pageant here, this is how we are choosing the next President!

And let's also hope for some movement in the polls. Of course this is a by-product of a substantial debate. If we are just skimming the surface, it is the "Tier 1" playing field... so it is up to the underdogs to DEMAND a more substantive dialogue!

You know I will be watching both, and commenting as I see fit! I encourage you to do the same.

And let's all pray that the underdogs of the race start reigning in the "Tier 1" candidates. It is the only way that we are going to make ANY progress in this country... that is by casting away the "lesser of two evils" approach to elections and getting some honest candidates in office!
