I am absolutely furious - but as I have said before, if EVER there was a "first shot" made by the federal government, this is it... This is the single bill allowing ALL OTHER bills to thrive, ensuring the absolute collapse of the US Dollar by way of eternal debt, furthering the collapse of the economy, and ensuring slavery of the taxpayers for generations to come...
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." - Thomas Jefferson
I know of 60 tyrants who could use a Tar and Feather dip...
The realization of personal wealth, personal significance, and the moral obligations associated with self determination led to the drafting of some of the most profound documents - our founding documents. They exist as a written testimony to Natural Laws, the existence of a Divine, and the proper relationship between the people and their government... this last being some of the most profound realizations of all - that it is only through the consent of the people that a government exists... comprehending the political establishment during that time, this concept was truly radical.
It is the absence of the understanding of these Natural Laws, the absence of the consent, and our loss of the Divine that have allowed the moral fiber of the nation to erode. The absence of education regarding our place - as leaders of our self and our communities - as the power GIVERS, rather than the ruled. We, as a society, have lost our way on this journey of liberty. It is up to those who know to educate, to propagate freedom, and to participate as visibly as one possibly can... lest we be the last generation of free men.

Obama is exactly what we needed in a post-Bush era... namely because he embodies all that is wrong with the political make-up of this nation, and it forces the people to look at themselves and the decisions which they made - finally taking some time for introspection and personal responsibility in selecting their elected leaders. His broken promises and extreme leftist push for "fundamental change" in America have been a wake-up call to this nation that BIGGER government, MORE intrusion, MORE debt are NOT what this country wants, needs, or can afford.
Obama's speech promised fantastic miracles like spending our way out of trillions in debt. He charged that Democrats need to retake the hill and cease their retreat merely due to elections... that they were elected with an expectation of fundamental change - that 2010 elections and future power be damned - they should use all means necessary to pass his entire agenda - even being so bold as to hint at reconciliation.
What was most was his battle cry in the closing statement. That HE would not back down, that HE would not quit until HE has fulfilled his promise of absolute destruction of a free America - to be replaced with his Alinsky style radical leftist regime.
And to him, all members of congress on both sides of the aisle, and the many people across this land - WE will not back down. WE will not cease. WE will not stand by idly and allow the states to be eliminated, the sovereignty to be destroyed, and the liberty and individual freedom of every citizen to be handed over to an authoritarian regime.
You are but one. WE are the PEOPLE.
The White House has decided to begin funding private companies to carry NASA astronauts into space, but the proposal faces major political and budget hurdles, according to people familiar with the matter. As a veteran engineer in the aerospace industry, as well as a former employee of the NASA run Orion/Ares programs, I (for the first time since he has taken office) applaud the President. Where the Ares I rocket was nothing more than a money funnel and engineering disaster, private ventures like Space-X have developed and test flown the predecessor to their human rated launcher capable of servicing the ISS for about 1/10 the cost of NASA's Ares. Their Falcons are greener, cheaper, currently in production, and fully reusable. NASA has had one barely successful test of a mock-up Ares concept vehicle which revealed the further nightmare to follow (less about a Billion more dollars a year to fix), which is extremely inefficient, acoustically non-viable for human space flight, and economically impractical. The novel concept of eliminating governmental restrictions on human space flight, opening the frontier to start-ups which promotes innovation in space exploration technologies leaps and bounds above what the old dinosaur (NASA) could possibly conceive, is nothing short of Goldwater style governing.
The controversial proposal, expected to be included in the Obama administration's next budget, would open a new chapter in the U.S. space program. The goal is to set up a multiyear, multi-billion-dollar initiative allowing private firms, including some start-ups, to compete to build and operate spacecraft capable of ferrying U.S. astronauts into orbit—and eventually deeper into the solar system.
This idea of privatization has already made heads explode at the "two liberal for Obama" (2L4O) lefties, such as BlueLyon (who can be found in my daily blog recommendations section). The left is up in arms that "The One", with the power of a near super majority and all his grace, has in one short year surrendered to the opposition on the fundamental philosophy of state run EVERYTHING. The very idea of private ventures taking governmental bureaucracies to task on ANYTHING is in direct contradiction to the Marxist values embraced by Obama and his ilk on the left, leading one to wonder - WHY?
Why has Obama endorsed a spending freeze for all federal government agencies except defense? Why has Obama endorsed a tax cut the likes of first term George W. Bush? Why this sudden lurch to the right?
The answer is clear - it is election year and a great number of Alinsky style leftists are positioned to lose their seats, losing power for the left in the final two years of the Obama presidency. Obama's power of persuasion has been met with defeat after defeat on everything from major elections, such as last week's MA Senate Race, to the simplest task of bringing the Olympics to America. He has quickly become the least popular president after his first year in office, setting the stage for being the least popular president in the history of the country. The implementation of a Socialist Empire in America is crumbling... As such, the spending freeze, tax cuts, and budget cuts are being proposed by a man eager to win back the hearts and minds of the independents ahead of the 2010 election with hopes that in two more years he can ram through socialist ideal after socialist ideal.
Is it enough to fool some people? Perhaps. Is it enough of a veil to mask a failed first year? Maybe for some. Is it enough to hid the fact that these proposals are merely a PR mirage to cover up his true agenda? Not likely. Congressional Democrats are going to eat this president alive for abandoning their core values on the public stage, their Alinsky/Marxist values, at a time when they have held more power than any party in history. Their disarray will be clear as the elections move closer, and without the "Blame Bush" message, the Democrats have nothing left to offer other than failed socialist policies... and the people are becoming well aware of this.
In the State of the Union speech tonight I have to wonder, will a teary eyed Democrat stand up and shout down the President with a resounding "You Lie(d)", as the hopes and dreams of the radical left are systematically renounced by the one who would "Fundamentally Change" America?

Why is this so important?
This is most noteable because it lends credence to the Tea Party movement, to the push for Liberty, and to the idea that OUR VALUES need to be mainstream - not RINO values, not moderate values - but inside the heart of every man, woman, and child there needs to beat a drum of liberty - freedom from an overbearing government of EITHER party.
In this change, they have brought back liberty minded hosts, changed the format of the line-up to support the voice of the people and dissiminate information, and adjusted the line-up to press local issues during peak traffic times - creating the chance for local activism to thrive.
Such an independent move by the leading talk show station in the Puget Sound Region is a positive sign that Liberty is on the rise, and that our generation will surely know freedom!

Scott Brown, the RNC, and the entire Conservative and Independent delegation to the Senate should use all means necessary to draw attention to this issue, and make THIS the legacy of the Democratic leadership (as well as the Obama administration) - perpetual national debt.
IF, however, Senate republicans and independents vote in favor of this debt extension, it is case and point the reason that no matter WHO we elect, in a Kennedy seat or otherwise, the Federal Government has NO INTENTION of representing the people of this nation, nor of upholding the constitution...
Forget Healthcare... Forget Gitmo... and while you're at it, Forget any chance for the Federal Government to reign itself in under its own persuasion... UNLESS we can demand that the National Debt NOT be extended. This is the first test in restraint in the new age of (potential) congressional understanding...
For the sake of argument, the failure to extend the debt will mean that the US Treasury will default on its debt for the first time in history, causing the absolute collapse of the US dollar as an international standard currency, and sparking an undoubted fire sale of US Dollars on the foreign market bankrupting the Nation overnight.
I argue that this is not such a bad thing.
The US has REAL WEALTH right beneath our feat. Our natural reserves, forests, ore, etc are the foundation that made this nation prosperous - throw in a little good old fashioned ingenuity and you have more than you will ever need at your fingertips. The concept of passing debt on to future generations is in direct contradiction to the ideals of George Washington et Al. We should draw our nets up around our real wealth, minimize government while maximizing individual success and prosperity, and get this nation back on track as the torch bearer for liberty.

He stops short by supporting Fox News - However, I challenge that Fox is not better than the rest... For example - where was their outrage and extensive coverage of the Council of Governors scandal in the Obama Executive order of January 11th? NINE WHOLE DAYS LATER and not a peep out of the Fair and Balanced Fox-ers...
I say, TO HELL WITH 'EM ALL. Fox News may be the lesser of all the evils, but real truth tellers, like PJTV, and a little bit of truth seeking bloggers, mixed with a little individual research into facts - now THAT is the recipe for TRUTH in Journalism!

This is a small victory in the nationwide effort to stop the further socialization of America - and merely the beginning in the effort to reverse the negative trends this nation has embraced over the past 150 years.
With Scott Brown's victory comes a great deal of responsibility. He has to stand up as a leader in the GOP, as a representative of the conservative movement, and usher in a new age in America - one where the citizen is valued over the government... one where private property and personal responsibility are championed... and one where government corruption, cronyism, and authoritarianism is not tolerated.
Bravo, Scott Brown - the new Junior Senator from the not-so Blue State of Massachusetts! You get two yellow Elephant thumbs up tonight!

Obama made this promise, a testament to the strength of the American people, backed by an army and navy of volunteer soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines, despite our financial and personal hardships at home. Some gave time to a relief effort, packing supplies. Others gave cash through their church or Red Cross. Even in the poor areas, they gave... It is not an attribute of the American President, our political dealings, or the parties in power... it is something we are bred with in this collective of States - that when a neighbor is down and out, you lend a helping hand.
However, as with everything that comes with US governmental involvement, there are already strings attached...
Just as Obama offered the promise that "help is arriving", it is just days after telling now prosperous banks "we want our money back"... and moments after signing the Council of Governors Executive Order - a 'payback' of sorts for states who took the federal bail-out money... the big pay-off... So one has to wonder when Obama will tell Haitians "we want our money back"... Or perhaps something else.
I have heard from a few different sources the concept of making Haiti a US territory. Though tempting as the thought is, it only serves to feed the imperialistic nature of the beast that is DC. True, we will be giving billions in relief to the country, we have an army deployed, there is no viable government or infrastructure currently in place, and all that stands between the US and the western part of the Island Nation are the 10 Million people remaining - hungry and looking for basic necessity and leadership. Will Obama and the "one world government" he supports be so bold as to suggest that the US oversee the rebuilding efforts, enact martial law under US authority, and rebuild to US safety codes with US dollars?
Perhaps it will be guised as an "international effort" under the UN - but something seems off when even conservatives are suggesting the taking of Haiti as part of a "National Defense" measure to ensure Chavez or Castro regimes do not swoop in to enact authoritarian communist control over the territory.
Haiti has nothing to lose by accepting such an offer from the Untied States. The States of the Union have everything to lose by accepting a welfare state of 10 Million people with no viable industry, absolute impoverishment, majority of the population uneducated, and an infrastructure that has just been obliterated. Any efforts to turn the Haiti People into subjects of the Union should be met with absolute resistance.
Let's not confuse the fact that I believe we have a moral obligation as intellectuals with relative wealth to help in times of need - but we must empower the people of Haiti to rebuild - not turn them into another welfare society living on hand-outs of their neighbors... We should volunteer to clear the debris, bury the dead, reconnect to clean water, ensure basic means for sustainability, educate (on a free market basis) on the skills needed to sustain infrastructure in earthquake AND hurricane environments, and let the people of Haiti continue their path of self determination. This is the ONLY way for Haiti to succeed as an independent nation, free or otherwise. Education on permanent infrastructure, even at the Presidential Palace, can work miracles in this type of disaster - that, and a little rebar!
In closing, and as a reminder, if you hear grumblings of a US territory or other such insanity, remind folks that the US is a nation of sovereign states, not the protector of nanny states. Our humanitarian efforts may be mighty, but our imperialistic tendencies must be curbed. Plus, we have enough to worry about right here in the continental US as a constitutional crisis looms over our heads as early as Tuesday...

1. Rick Perry has his hands full against these two ladies. He has a decade of service in the state to answer for, has increased taxes and regulation, and has merely paid lip service to libertarian causes. He is being hit hard, and rightfully so, on misleading voters while acting in opposition to campaign promises. Not to mention there is a huge budget problem in the state... This could be why he has two challengers on the ticket.
2. Sen. Hutchinson is also at risk in this election due to her many years of service in the Senate. With congressional ratings being beyond unpopular, and Hutchinson's voting record showing ne'er a sign of leadership over party politics, it is no wonder she is taking some direct hits from Gov. Perry on her involvement in the current scandals of the Federal Government.
3. Debra Medina, the dark-horse underdog, is asking and answering questions like a Tea Party Candidate. Her answers echo the Liberty First/Anti-Authoritarian policies committed to on this blog and on the blogs of many of my followers. Her non-status-quo standing and underdog status makes her battle an uphill one, but while watching the back-and-forth between Perry and Hutchinson it is clear that they do not consider her a major candidate...which could be an advantage when the papers come out tomorrow reading "Underdog Steals the Show"
This debate, for me, has piqued interest in the dark-horse Candidate - Debra Medina. If what I say and support on this blog is to be attached to a candidate, I have to openly and honestly support Medina and candidates LIKE Medina. Her stance on immigration, drugs, taxes, and states sovereignty are what ALL governors should embrace.
Medina Closing Summary: We have a real opportunity to restore the pillars and principle of the founders, of state sovereignty, and of Texas independence per the state constitution with special council to the Federal Government.
Closing statements from Perry and Hutchinson were dismal, lifeless, and the run-of-the-mill "think of the children" responses you would expect from the same old gaggle.
If you want Texas to be led by a LIBERTY candidate, send Debra Medina a few of your tanking dollars... With a little bit of luck we can get a governor in this nation willing and able to stand up and take on the Federal Government the way only a governor can!
I am adding Debra Medina to my OFFICIALLY ENDORSED list!

No questions are being asked, and no answers are being demanded.
A President is not going to make an Executive Order that has no purpose - so WHY are not even FOXNEWS asking WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE?
In reading other blog posts and the chat boards full of comments, many are suggesting that this is in line with the federal prediction of a constitutional crisis regarding the complete collapse of the dollar or the upcoming Massachusetts US Senate election coming up on next Tuesday, where it looks as if a Republican is going to win Ted Kennedy's seat (and the Senate may delay swearing him in until after the temporary replacement votes YEA on Healthcare).
IF the country ends up in a constitutional crisis, there are specific segments of the Exec Order that are more important - such as the State National Guard Troops (the organized state militias) now being under the authority of the President instead of the Governor of the states... like a private military run by the Council and NOT the Senate (who has constitutional authority over the federal army). Such a private army can be used, such as in China during the Tienanmen Square incident, where New York Guards may be called to deploy to deal with civil unrest in Texas or Alaska, where Texan or Alaskan Guard Troops may refuse to fight their neighbors...
The implications of such a consolidation of power mean only ONE thing, that the President is ready for some strategic maneuvers against the free citizens of the states.
Prove me wrong - leave me a comment with your predictions.

This moment is the beginning of the end game, the coiling of the Leviathan around the throats of free men, free states, and free thoughts. It is a moment, as one commenter at MAinfo's website put it, that was destined to occur since the fateful April afternoon in 1865 at the Appomattox Court House.
What we lay witness to on THIS day is the end of the Constitutional Republic, and the beginning of something sinister.
Please read below - the text will just make you sick...
For Immediate Release January 11, 2010

General Provisions.(c) This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.
THE WHITE HOUSE,January 11, 2010.
Now... this order, appears to be the first step in dissolution of the Houses of Congress, the consolidation of all Executive Power of the federation AND of the states into one executive, placing all military authority of the militia (National Guard) into the control of the Executive, where it was traditionally under the authority of the Governor.
The 'synchronization' of state militias into a federal authority is nothing short of seizing control of the state's ability to defend itself against a federal invasion in the case of nullification of the constitution, AND consolidates the power of this new force into the office of the Executive.
Why, as a free man, do I feel the cross hairs burning at my back? Is it because we have just witnessed, with the swoop of a pen, the executive nullification of the sovereignty of the states - the complete and final nail in the coffin for the constitutional division of power between states and the federal government - and namely the PEOPLE's right of self determination?
Friends - this is the hour... in this hour we begin to sort ourselves - separating our numbers from theirs. The charge is not far off now, and when it comes, summon the spirit of our Creator, and know that you have been chosen in THIS time... YOU have been chosen to bear witness to the last great struggle for liberty... YOU have been chosen to bear the burden for all mankind... to STAND and be counted as MAN AMONGST MEN... the Children of liberty who are being called to task to defend what was so nobly handed to them by those who have come before.
"In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage..."
Franklin stated: A Republic, if you can keep it...
Jefferson stated: Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms (of government) those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny
Howard Zin stated: Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.
Patrick Henry stated: Give me LIBERTY or give me DEATH
I stand so sorted, and counted, as to be among the few. Be it 3% or 30% - I will stand by Liberty, or I shall Die defending it!
Playing the race card works well when you're a Democrat - because the leadership of the minority group in question (and I use the term leadership loosely) is in bed with the Dems, can slam the party of the 'other' race for being 'un-them', and should you yourself make a blatantly racist comment you get the pass because the leadership 'know that in his heart he really didn't mean it'...
As a Republican it is much harder to play said card, namely for the reason unfolding before us. He makes the statement, the black leadership gives him the pass, and they move on... meanwhile we are left yelling 'Ohh, Ooh, but he's really a racist', and 'if we said it you would be all over us!'
What is going to happen is that the GOP and FoxNews are going to look ridiculous as they try and create a scandal in a community that could care less if Reid came out and dropped an N-bomb... he has the backing of the leadership, and will most likely be flanked by black leaders for the remainder of his re-election campaign. The scandal blowback will divert attention away from the TRILLION other reasons NOT to re-elect Reid, and the SOB will be re-elected as part of an anti-racist / anti-GOP revival.
The story broke, it was a drop in the racial bucket, and the Dems out-circled the wagons of the GOP and FoxNews. Any further headline about the issue is merely going to seem like childish "but... but... but..." arguments.
Get the election out of the gutter. Stop the attempted scandal mudslinging. Let's do something novel in 2010 - let's beat the pants of the socialist elite on Merit alone!
We have the right on our side for 2010... let's not muddy the waters with non-scandals.

At the same time the C-SPAN CEO is slamming Obama for his use of C-SPAN promises during the campaign and completely reneging on the simple promise of transparent negotiations on Health Care.
Imagine what else this clown said that was a lie - anyone else ready for some real Change?
Support candidates like Craig Williams for US Senate and James Watkins for US Congress (both from the state of WA).
Let's put everyday citizens in the government who will return the government to the everyday citizen!
Enough is Enough!
Instead of spending $1 Trillion on a useless, archaic, socialist, economically bankrupt, authoritarian health care system, here is an idea that could help stimulate innovation and social advancement:
Permanent Human Mars Colony: Cost = $500Billion
For the price of half of the non "free" health care system (since it does little more than mandate rationed coverage), humanity can build a fully functional permanent settlement on the surface of the red planet. In fact, it has been theorized by Dr. Robert Zubrin and the Mars Society (of which I am a proud long-time member) that the cost of a rudimentary continuous supply mission would be a mere $50 Billion - or 1/20th the cost of the upcoming downfall of our society.
Suppose, for a moment, the innovation necessary to adapt sustained human existence on a planet extremely harmful to our way of life. Just as innovation leaps led us out of the dark ages and eventually into the industrial age, imagine if we find that we are currently in a special dark age when it comes to adaptive living and interstellar travel. What can humanity learn about resource management, about environmental adaptation, about species survival, advanced communication, or even advanced and efficient space travel and transport... the possibilities are endless...
The social authoritariat may have stolen the future of our fathers and grandfathers, but our will is unbroken, and our time to take hold of the future is at hand.
The year is now 2010. Where will you be standing in 10 years, 20 years, 50 years? And where will human perseverance, ingenuity, and innovation lead us in that time? Live to inspire, and you will find yourself in awe at the ability of your fellow man...

This being my official 500th Blog post, let me take a moment to reflect on the community and discourse that has grown and changed over my 500 articles. All of my articles have been heartfelt; they have been either personal, political, or spiritual in a way that only a blogger can fully understand. This blog has become a sounding board for my political platform, providing priceless direction from alliances, commenters, and the occasional old rebel! It has given me voice and community when local institutions failed, and has encouraged my level of political involvement by way of strengthening my core values and understanding of our constitutional republic (that what it once was!). The shared thoughts and ideas, the professional relationships, and the friendships - they have all aided in the continued identity of Steven M Nielson - Political Blogger. For your involvement, I thank you.
As I move forward with this blog it is important to understand the direction in which I am going. Like any intellectual, it is wise to know that the ship must be free to change course during her journey. As such, this blog that began as "Conservative Issues, Conservative Guy", changed into "The New Conservative" in order to better define intent and to appeal to a wider audience. As the political tide changed, and I watched as the Republican Party self destructed under the leadership of neo-conservative war mongers, and the country with it, it was for the preservation of my political integrity to change the name to "The Liberty Republican" - one who no longer watches curiously from the sidelines, rather one who takes the wheel and rights the listing ship.
Will I always be the Liberty Republican - perhaps. However, it is my hope that the word "liberty" becomes a repetition as the Republican Party returns to core values of individual freedom and personal liberty/responsibility. What a joy that day will be when I can simply state that I am a Republican, and know that it means something worthy of announcing out loud.
In the mean time, I will march triumphantly beyond my 500th post, chin up, face into the sun, and sleeves rolled up high - ready to take the fight to the traitorous slobs who are destroying this country's economy, liberty, and historical standing. Hell, I'll do it clinging to my guns and my god, charging my battle flag to the top of capitol hill if I have to!
Thank you for tuning in. Here is to another 500 posts, and continued success as Free People!
OLYMPIA, Wash. —The protection of racial minorities is of more importance than the sanctity of elections, according to the 9th Circuit Clowns. Such a ruling is as intrusive into State's Rights as it is insane. An individual should not be barred from voting based on gender or skin tone, but there are multitudes of legal and justifiable reasons why free citizens would want to bar the most violent criminal minds from helping shape our society!
A federal appeals court has ruled that imprisoned felons should be allowed to vote in Washington to ensure that racial minorities are protected under the Voting Rights Act.
Tuesday's 2-1 ruling by a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the 2000 ruling of a district judge in Spokane. That judge had ruled that state law did not violate the act, and dismissed a lawsuit filed by a former prison inmate from Bellevue.
The two appellate judges ruled that disparities in the state's justice system "cannot be explained in race-neutral ways."
A spokeswoman says state Attorney General Rob McKenna is weighing the state's next step.
At this point, I need someone to remind me why we are not immediately instituting a policy of 'tar and feather' - and I am not referring to the felons!
As a devoted 10th amendment supporter, there is nothing that makes my skin crawl more than federal "leaders" meddling in state affairs - UNLESS it is the feds meddling in state ELECTIONS.

Washington State Democratic Gov. Christine Gregoire and her Democrat team of Flying Monkeys have run this state so far into the red that no 'gimmick' or federal bail-out is going to help them in 2010. Democrat special interests and big government spending have sunk the state deficit to $2.6 Billion through mid 2011.
Gregoire may not be up for re-election in '10, but her Democratic led State House will be placed into a tough spot in an election year - TAX INCREASES. We are not talking your run-of-the-mill Washington State Sales tax - We are talking the dirtiest of all taxes: State Income Tax - though a sales tax increase will be billed as the sensible alternative. In a state where sales tax already reaches into the 8.9% range, gas tax is pushing $0.40 per gallon, and businesses are taxed to death, one has to wonder why the Democrats, instead of cutting budget and living within fiscal restraint, figure that a recession is the perfect time to tax the people.
True to their nature, the Democrats have 'cut as much as we can cut' and are starting the legislative season selling the same old story of “gutting the education budget”, etc, to rally support for taxes – of course, think of the children. Liberal fear mongering at it's worst!
The reality of the matter is that this proposed tax is nothing more than our punishment for continually electing Democratic Majorities into the state house in Olympia. Time and again they spend beyond their means, and we are left footing a larger and larger bill. To what end?
Even if we see tax ‘cuts’ in certain areas as a way to appear ‘tax revenue neutral’, (other than the Billions they’re trying to overcome), there is no stopping the eliminated taxes from returning when Democrats spend us into another corner in the future – again I ask, TO WHAT END?
Instead of rolling up the sleeves and doing the dirty work, the easy answer is simply to take more money from the loyal subjects of the state of Washington. Unfortunately the trends are similar in every state and at the federal level: unrestrained spending, mortgaging the future for fruitless delusions. The Democrats understand nothing about sound fiscal judgment.
What is needed is a simple tax system, a series of protections against future spending and future tax increases, and a serious look at the regulatory structure of the State of Washington. We can get there by limiting government special welfare programs, consolidating regulatory agencies, and cutting the government size and payroll significantly. Cut the SIZE of the government to within the budgetary means, not increase revenue to feed the larger beast - What a Novel Concept!!
The leaders in our state, as well as our federal, governments should understand that economic and social prosperity comes not under the heavy burden of taxes and overregulation, rather under the encouragement of innovation and individual success. Another burdensome tax will merely deepen the underlying problem – Democratic State Spending!
