Nationalism, Patriotism, and the Marxist Indoctrination

My blast yesterday triggered a few questions from a reader, which I want to bring to my front page… What is nationalism? What is Patriotism? What is Marxism? Can political movements of our time cherry pick effective tools from history to achieve their objectives? These questions were not asked, so much as my grasp of history and politics was deemed ignorant. Regardless of tact, I want to address these issues to better explain our current state.

The title of my post yesterday was “To Hell with Nationalism” and my sentiment today is still the same. Nationalism in the United States erodes the sanctity of the Sovereignty of the Individual States. It is the erosion of these protected liberties, of state sovereignty, which is directly responsible for the unchecked power of the Federal Government. What use is there for the people and their states when the Federal Government can tackle all problems? The notion that nationalism is a prerequisite for being a good citizen is a fool’s errand.

Patriotism, then, must be addressed. To be clear, a patriot is one who loves and adores their “father land” – patris being the Greek root “Father”. The American founder’s were referred to as Patriots, because they had such a love and adoration for the concept of liberty, for a nation that had yet to be born. They stood in defiance of tyranny in the face of the unknown. However, to be a patriot today is to be a nationalist. A “patriot” in the United States is nothing more than a tool, wrapped up in red/white/blue shirts, hats, flags, and banners to “justify their cause” – to be a Good American. Patriotism is “American”. Patriotism is pledging servitude to Obama. Patriotism is redefined with each party in power as obedience to their cause… it is a mindless label given to “good Americans” who obey their master.

Marxism, though in relative conflict with nationalism, does not preclude the strategic advantages of nationalism be used while implementing Marxist economical policy. The democrat controlled government is subtly using the mantra “obeying Obama makes you a Good American”. As such, to defy Obama or the Democrats makes you an “Un-American” or a DHS Labeled Terrorist. These tactics, also used by Bush and Neo-conservative Republicans who labeled anti-war and anti-Patriot Act protesters as Un-American, are nothing more than using the TOOL of nationalism to push an agenda. Once you can convince the general public that to be subdued is to be a good citizen, you have attained absolute power.

I am proud to be a free citizen of a Constitutional Republic... Constitution and Republic... two terms which are long forgotten or corrupted in our political society. Politicians invoke the Constitution to defend their continued power grab… and they expand in the name of Democracy… This nation was NOT founded as a democracy. It was founded as a Republic, but we have given up our Republic willingly. And our society is not free. We live under a banner of deceit and promised freedom, but we are all slaves to a system of controls – so much so that we are on the verge of being CRIMINALS for not buying healthcare insurance. “Buy this govt. product or go to jail”… the battle hymn of the democracy of the United States?

So in a Constitutional Republic, specifically the United States, I am pledged to defend a constitution which advocates for state’s rights – not an imaginary “perpetual union”. When the Union is no longer “more perfect” because of corruption, tyrannical control, and Marxist attacks and indoctrination of our citizens, is it not our duty to invoke the 9th and 10th, and to demand action by the state governments… Even Charlie Rangel understands this to some extent, telling BHO to back off of NY State Politics and Elections.

This union is broken at the federal level. The flag of the union is being used as a tool by both sides to invoke nationalist pride for the purpose of their social agenda gains. That flag is a battle flag representing something other than the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence... SO LONG AS IT IS USED AS A SYMBOL TO SUPPORT IDEALS THAT OPPRESS LIBERTY, I will not pledge allegiance to it, I will not fly it, I will not salute it, nor will I admire it.

To Hell with Nationalism

National pride is one thing, but now that the Senate Finance Committee has voted down the Obama-Care plan, it is time to start systematically deconstructing this golden calf which we have erected around us in the United States.

I am a resident of the State of Washington, born of the State of Oregon, short time resident of the Republic of California, and past resident of the State of Colorado. I live in a region, a state, a city, and county where cultural norms set us apart and define our way of life... smoked salmon and bumper shoots in WA are just as important as Buffalo burgers and snow shovels are in CO... honestly, not many people in WA state own snow shovels, or snow tires/chains for that matter. Regional differences which should be embraced and better understood. We are no melting pot, but a group of liberty minded citizens wanting protection of personal property, protection from foreign invasion, and to be left the hell alone!

For years we have been force fed lies of "pledging allegiance to the flag" for "one nation, indivisible"... The idea that we are indivisible, that WE THE PEOPLE who have granted certain powers to a government for the purpose of universal liberty are not free to challenge said government should they veer off course, is criminal and corrupt!

Nationalism destroys state's rights.
Nationalism erodes individual liberties.
Nationalism kills.

Nationalism is a tool used to sway the people into servitude... If all we know is that we need to be "Good Americans" and that means nothing more than blindly becoming servants of the government - well - it is my hope that any reader of this blog sees the foolishness of this line of thought.

Nationalism is the driving force behind "Big Government", One government mentality, and the driving ideology that leads the consumers of the US to buy the line that it is the job of the president to "pay our mortgages" or "pay for our health care".

This is a lie. A Marxist Lie.

The Federal Government is in disarray. The President is more concerned with pitching in favor of the 2016 Chicago Olympics than the Natural Disaster Flooding that destroyed and damaged a large part of the Atlanta area. Federal approval is in the tank, the people have lost confidence in the government of the United States for good reason, they have failed. The Union is in need of collapse in order for liberty to survive, and with it the corruption of politicians needs to be washed away like a dirty Bourbon Street Sidewalk at 6 AM.

There is hope, real hope. Where the politicians fail, the people succeed. It is WE THE PEOPLE who built this nation. It is the people of the states who make up this Union. It is you and I who are responsible for taking hold of the reigns and emboldening our local and state governments, encouraging them to use their constitutionally protected sovereignty to retake representative powers of, for, and by their people.

Where the US is failing, they are tightening a stranglehold around the neck of the people of this nation... around the necks of the states... and we are all doomed unless we put an end to the idea of Nationalism, Empire building, and One World Government.

I no longer pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States. I no longer fly the stars and stripes.

I fly a different flag:

and as I have stated in a previous post:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the original intent of this nation, and to the individual liberty endowed upon us, for which IT stands, representing a nation free from tyranny, a people banded together against such, under Nature's God, indivisible, ensuring the continued struggle for liberty and true justice under the rule of natural law, for all.

PJTV - Board Certified Doctors discuss Health Care Reform

PJTV is a great resource for deeper investigative reporting. If you want facts, check out PJTV.

This episode gives you real life exposure to Insurance companies, Healthcare, and the problem behind them... and offers solutions -

Let's listen, let's think... and let's talk solutions!

These are the recommended insurance changes:

1. Insurance companies offering coverage across state lines
2. Affinity Groups should be allowed to purchase group insurance
3. Employer Insurance should be constant if employee released

My opinion about the proposed changes:
  1. Many insurance companies are forced into state specific policies due to varying state laws (at least for automobile insurance). If states take the role of fixing the health system away from the Federal Governemnt (which they should), they should begin by relaxing or eliminating any "required" coverages. Insurance companies should be able to establish universal packages that can be modified to suit the needs of the individual... and in a cyber age, there is no reason why a Bronx NY citizen should have to pay more than a Boise ID citizen for healthcare... plans should be available should a national carier so choose to cover all areas (like cell phone companies).

  2. Group insurance is the best tool for lower rates... so why not allow, say, city councils and mayors to establish "City Plan". For instance, Seattle, with a population of ~600,000, could create "Seattle City Health" where citizens and residents of the city of Seattle can purchase insurance and join a group insurance which is not job specific, but region specific. Am I advocating for government control of healthcare? NO. Not on a federal level anyway. What I am suggesting is that towns, cities, and people within regions with the same interest (regional health) band together to offer affordable group rates for the benefit of the cities/regions. This is well within the operational bounds of the 9th and 10th amendments to the US consitution, allowing states and people to regulate themselves at a local level... National healthcare, however, is unconstitutional - in violation of the 9th and 10th.

  3. I disagree to an extent. An employer negotiates on behalf of their workforce, and often times has to cover certain costs for arbitration with the Insurance Companies. I think that if we were to have "lay-off coverage" it should be for no more than 3 months after a lay-off or until the employee finds another job or signs up for regional coverage, whichever is shorter. The coverage should NOT be rolled over if an employee is fired.

The idea here is focussed around local control, not national control... about universal personal freedoms, not government mandates under threat of fine/imprisonment... about doctor/patient relationships, not doctor/insurance company relationships...

Reform for reform sake is not progress. Progress is only so when it is universally beneficial.

Liberal MSNBC Outrage over "President = Hitler"

As if anyone with a single ounce of competency or credibility watches MSNBC for anything actually honest, unbiased, or newsworthy... This "report" is on the outrage on the left over protesters calling The Enlightened One "Hitler"... something that this discussion suggests is a "dog whistle" or a secret message to "take out" Obama.

The interesting aspect of this clip is that the actual newsworthy portion is what is graphically overlaid, leaving the MSNBC audio to tell the true story of absolute hypocrisy, schizophrenic lunacy, and outright lies that the left truly believe.

It is scary how delusional these nut jobs really are! And I am not referring to the right wing gun toters protesting big government... I am talking about the nut jobs spewing garbage as if it were the truth.

MSNBC is junk news, empty rhetoric, propaganda for the far left. They may try to say the same thing about FoxNews, but I challenge them to live up to the Hypocrisy test... Let us decide where the REAL JOURNALISTS are employed.

Rangel to Obama: BACK OFF!

In the most obscene use of blogging acronym, I am ROTFLMFAO.

Charlie Rangel, the long time NY Democratic Senator, known tax evading crook, and Marxist Democrat is slamming The Elite One, B.H. Obama over his encroachment into the affairs of NY State Politics.

THE IRONY in Rangel telling BHO to back off is that it is the same message we are trying to get across to Obama AND Congress when it comes to State's Rights issues, Health Care, Education, Guns, Marriage...

But to Rangel and his Marxist friends in the DNC it is only inconvenient when it affects you personally... like the way all those line items listed above affect EVERY AMERICAN.

As you protest, sir, SO DO WE!

And WE wonts stop until you...

"BACK OFF"

Video Friday - a few things to think about, and one to celebrate!

1: If you thought your College Degree was worth a damn, maybe it is time to take a closer look at "the educated" -

2. We constantly hear from the left (and those on the right) that it is not productive to compare Obama with Hitler or the NAZI movement in Germany... but when time and again we have strikingly eery similarities, isn't it at least our responsibility to raise a question? Maybe we're not talking holocaust here, but the overall policy of Hitler (less extermination) is being played out AGAIN right before our eyes...

h/t to Snaggle Tooth Jones

3. On a lighter note, Autumn is finally here - my favorite time of the year! The air becomes sweet with the crisp air and falling leaves. The smell of cider begins to fill rooms across the land, people begin bundling up and preparing for fests and family. It reminds us that all great things pass, but we should be reminded that all things are cyclic. What once was shall come to pass again. The best part is that being back up north (though not as far north as Rev. Paul) My autumn and winter nights last just a little bit longer... more time for stargazing!

Quote of the Year

I have to say, this one is going to be hard to beat:

"Used to be gold, but now lead is the most expensive metal," said Donald Richards, 37, "And worth every penny."

In response to the year long ammunition shortage due to Gun Control fears of an Obama Administration. (Thankfully we have successfully stalled him on Health Care that he hasn't gotten around to gun legislation yet)

As of this posting, Gold was listed at $995/oz. or $14,510 per pound. Lead is priced at 96 cents per pound.

Lead, not truly "the most expensive metal", but we know what you mean... wink wink!

The Moon Will Never Look the Same

The question of lunar colonization has long been debated in scientific (and sci-fi) circles for decades, and has always rested on one conclusion - man cannot sustain life on the moon without water. World governments have spent billions of dollars trying to determine if there can exist some slight amount of water... in polar craters, in the regolith. Even the Apollo missions returned lunar rocks with the intent of searching for embedded water - the results were inconclusive.

The world has changed today... and the moon will never again look the same.

When early civilizations looked to the moon, they saw vast oceans on a nearby celestial body... and named them rightly.

It turns out that the entire surface of the moon contains, in some small amount, WATER. There may be more water hidden in the shadows of the polar craters, but the new discovery reveals, at least in some small amounts, that water exists on the entire surface of the moon.
The moon remains drier than any desert on Earth, but the water is said to exist on the moon in very small quantities. One ton of the top layer of the lunar surface would hold about 32 ounces of water, researchers said.
Water, as we all know, is the sustaining force for life as we know it. To consider a lunar colony, permanent settlement of the moon, one would have to plan a supply of water. With the discovery of any amount of water on the lunar surface our ability to simplify a self sustaining colony has just exponentially increased.

The simplest form of colonization considers "In-Situ" resources a necessary - that is, the ability to collect your resources for survival at your destination. To not have to bring water, even the short distance to the moon, could save us decades of slow growth due to required transportation.
I am a Mars Colony advocate, but taking advantage of lunar resources is a required step if human kind should ever decide to fight for a prolonged existence in the cosmos.

The next time you look up at the moon, think about a future where the half moon will play host to a night time display of distant city lights... Humans, en masse, living on other worlds. That reality just got a little closer today.

Obama ignores Disaster in GA

h/t to Redhead Agenda

Death Toll 9

$250 million in damage

Hundreds of roads washed away leaving thousands of residents stranded in rushing flood waters.
Scores of bridges now at risk of failing due to floodwater stress on surrounding infrastructure.

It has been two days... the storm is finally letting off in some areas... and FEMA has yet to be activated. President Obama is ignoring the calls for federal help from GA's governor. It took Obama two days to contact the State's governor, meanwhile he had the time to appear on the Letterman Show to promote his Health Care agenda.

In Georgia, levies have broken, rivers are flowing through towns, the region is being crippled by flood waters... and the national weather service is calling for at least four more days of rain in the region.

With the exception of 150 mph winds and a Republican who "Hates Black People", this is on par with Katrina. An entire region underwater. Fortunately the Atlanta area has adequate drainage, and the waters will recede.

What is unfortunate is that Obama has ignored the calls for help from the GA Governor, is withholding immediate FEMA response to help those displaced by the storm, and the media is ignoring the story altogether! George Bush would have been crucified if he had ignored a region in peril, and is still criticized for his handling of Katrina... but apparently you get the pass if no one is aware of the tragedy unfolding for our brothers and sisters in GA.

Another case of Democrat hypocrisy.

disclaimer: I believe that State Government is responsible for emergency services, and that the GA governor is handling his state's tragedy with respect, decorum, and prompt attention to areas hit the hardest. It is not my belief that FEMA is even a necessary program, nor do I believe that it is the responsibility of the Federal Government to jump in and bail out regions in distress. States should be supported to lead efforts of this nature.

Qaddafi Right?

Libyan President and former Terrorist M. Qaddafi addressed the U.N. today amid great protest and consternation. It is this outcry and protest that makes me want to listen to his words, put some thought behind those words, and come to a conclusion of my own mind... unlike folks like Dennis Miller who pre-dismiss what he will be saying, or Fox News who dismisses his speech as bizarre rambling.

Qaddafi made points... some far fetched and some good ones. He ultimately took the same position that Rhode Island took during the formation of the Union of States, that small states will be crushed and outnumbered in voice and vote by the larger more populous states, and that equality in such a Union does not equate to special treatment.

In this point he is right on and far off - both at the same time.

He is right in that the U.N. is a powerless body. I say rightfully so. It is a sounding board for the worlds leaders, but ruled by the elite Security Council... the overlords, if you will. It dictates policy to countries around the world, and threatens embargoes or invasions if the demands are not met. It is an unenforceable body of blowhards enticing everyone to join and then promptly reminding them that they are too small to have any say. There is no equality in the U.N. There is no diplomacy. It is nothing more than a dictatorial board determined to rule the world.

He is wrong in that he uses words like "Equality" as if they mean something to him and his people. Listening to world leaders such as Qaddafi and Ahmadinijad makes me wonder if they see the irony in their calls for equality and liberty. They live in countries that are not fully evolved in the concept of even sexual equality, often beating or raping women for something as sinful as showing their hair or talking to a man while not being married. If one is going to preach equality and liberty, one must consider the actions within their own country... otherwise the words are empty propaganda.

One thing is for sure, though. It is always vastly important to listen to ALL these leaders. Hold them to their beliefs... embrace Unity. Listen to their grievances against the U.N. What do they want, what do they need, and what are they willing to provide on their part for equality? We should never be so quick to dismiss... we may just find the key to true peace if we would only listen.

Hypocracy of the Left

Code Pink. MoveOn.ORG. Sheehan.

The loudest most vocal and visible protesters of Bush/Cheney, their foreign policy, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan...

Silent?

Code Pink is now silently petitioning Obama to end the wars, by not protesting, rather signing a "reminder petition" - to remind him of his campaign promises to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are actively protesting the G20 event this week by creating a pink Tent City, not covered at all by the media. Their "Actions" page is grossly out of date, and they seem content with going from a very active anti-war group to a pretty pink website with ne'er a harsh word against our enlightened one.

MoveOn.Org is pressing forward not with anti-war talk, rather carrying the banner of the Democrats on Healthcare, releasing a propaganda puff piece highlighting Hollywood comedians mocking the CEOs of Insurance Companies as the "true victims" of the public option. They have become the well funded strong arm of the left, openly targeting political conservatives. No question about Obama's continued wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, nor outrage over the prospect of surging 40,000 more US troops into Afghanistan. When we talked of a troop surge in Iraq, it was political hell on earth... under Obama it is second page news to Healthcare and Global Warming... and MoveOn.Org seems none the wiser. They are merely a recruiting and full time elections prep organization... puppets and political relics.

Cindy Sheehan seems to be the only one protesting Obama openly about the War... after finishing a distant second to Pelosi in the Congressional Race in SF, Sheehan has hit the protest trail once again... but, wait... the once embraced Sheehan is now being told "Enough Already" by Charlie Gibson of ABC. Why protest Obama - these are Bush's wars... and we shouldn't bring any negative attention to a DEMOCRAT President, right Charlie?

Again, I ask - are these once loud anti-government protesters silent?
  • Code Pink... not silent, but muffled and neutered.
  • MoveOn.Org... silent as a Monk in Prayer.
  • Sheehan... Not silent, but her Media Stage has been packed up and stored until the next GOP President and Majority is in need of media scrutiny.
The hypocrisy on the left is sickening. It is obvious that these protests, mostly media and Soros sponsored, were for nothing more than a political coup - an attempt to disrupt and distract the American public so much that they would angrily vote out the party in power.

Now that they are the party in power, suddenly the hose is turned off and the world is filled with harmony... So they are trying to convince us all...

The truth is that they won nothing. Obama is talking troop surges in Afghanistan. We still have thousands of troops in Iraq. They hold power, but now the emperor, and their tactics, are exposed - naked... They wanted an end to nothing... they merely wanted POWER... The power to push their agenda, the power to rule America and the world. Absolute power of the government is theirs... but in the hearts of free men burns a flicker of hope... liberty... but will we fall victim to the same tactic on the right?

Let this be a lesson to all the Tea Party protesters. When we win in 2010 and when we win in 2012, DO NOT STOP PROTESTING because a party change has occurred. Stop only when the government removes itself from private life. Stop only when all our demands are met. Stop only when the government retreats back to the bounds of its constitutional role. This is our goal... and lest we be classified as hypocrites, we should hold government, not parties, to the fire.

Liberty is not a partisan issue... it is an issue of the people. Until the government releases its death grip from the throat of liberty, we MUST NOT back down.

Learn from the mistakes of the hippies and pinkies... Never retreat.

Constitution Day - What would you change?

A local conservative radio show in Seattle, the Kirby Wilbur show, posed an interesting question today - Constitution Day - asking "If you had the power to change one aspect of the Constitution with the snap of a finger, what would it be?"

Some great answers arose around the first amendment, stating that perhaps the "establishment clause" should have stayed in Madison's original form, stating that congress shall "establish no National Religion", i.e. the "Church of America" similar to the Church of England, where the King is the head of the church. Of course congress being what it was, they bungled it up and created the current establishment clause: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" which has been wrongly interpreted to mean that no local/state/federal governments can acknowledge the existence of God. This was a great one.

Another caller suggested the inclusion of term limits on all federal politicians, including Supreme Court Judges. He suggested 8 years, max - two terms of 4 years being elected by the people. I would modify that and say one term of 10 years appointed by the President and approved by Congress to a class... The seats should be "numbered" and the appointment to one class should not disallow appointment to another seat by a different president and congress. There should be a three class rotation, just like the Congress - meaning that a justice could serve no more than 30 total years... Of course the intent of the lifetime appointment was to raise the justices above the political fray - but little good that did... so if they too should be politicised, let us set it to a review!

If I had to nail down some changes, mine would be simple:
1. National Debt, expanding definition of Article VI
2. 10th amendment and secession

Regarding national debt. Article VI addressed the continuation of validity of debts held under the Articles of Confederation. However, Washington's farewell address explicitly covered the negative effects of continual debt and the burden of taxation to that end... and as such, the Constitution should include a balanced budget amendment and a national debt clause in addition to the statements made in Article I section 9:
No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.

It should read something like:
"Debts incurred by the Congress of the United States shall have terms not exceeding ten years, and shall not be termed in any way so as to entangle the United States in foreign alliances nor dependency. The budget of the Congress shall remain balanced, reducing the burden of taxation necessary to the continued peace and prosperity of these United States.

I believe that such a clause would eliminate foreign debts, keeping the monetary burden of the United States on the people of the US - making such outrageous socialist policies directly felt by the people, and ensure a small and purposeful government - to maintain peace and prosperity.

Regarding the 10th and secession. There are very specific rules by which the states have to live, stated in Article I section 10:
"Section 10 - Powers prohibited of States

No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

No State shall, without the Consent of the Congress, lay any Imposts or Duties on Imports or Exports, except what may be absolutely necessary for executing it's inspection Laws: and the net Produce of all Duties and Imposts, laid by any State on Imports or Exports, shall be for the Use of the Treasury of the United States; and all such Laws shall be subject to the Revision and Control of the Congress.

No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."
The tenth amendment further instructs "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

By these two clauses, so long as a state remains in the Union, they must abide by these rules - but the tenth gives them the right to break from the Union, as they are not prohibited by Article I section 10.

I would make this more clear by specifically granting the right of secession should a state no longer deem the rules governing the Union just, at which time they are returned their full sovereign and independence from the Union without consequence of invasion so long as they remain on peaceful terms with the remaining states of the Union.

What good is a perpetual Union if the states lose their sovereign and their ability to challenge the central government? It is no longer a union of sovereign states, rather a single nation of one government rule - tyrannical in nature - eliminating the fundamental right of Liberty outlined in the Declaration of Independence. Any state and people so inclined to remove themselves from the Union should, in a free society, be allowed to do so. It strengthens a Union if ultimate power is truly retained by the people and the states, as is the intent of the tenth.

The constitution is nearly flawless... it is the corrupt nature of men that have perverted the document or downright ignored it in order to attain power and status or to slowly enslave the people of this nation under the master of an uncontrolled central government... the very things the anti-federalists warned of.

These are my suggestions.

What are yours?

The Pot calling the Kettle... well...

The Pot, in this case, is clearly a racist, for the pot has called the kettle black - a clear "White hooded" technique that should make all Kettles fear, and rise up in support of Health care...

You see what I did there... Now, if you don't support health care reform (Obamacare) you are no better than a white hooded racist ready to ride the countryside intimidating people. Take the following example of Democrat Hank Johnson - to question the President and Democratic lies over the healthcare bill and the loopholes for illegals, we are at risk of a KKK resurgence:

I cannot make this stuff up! It is so scary how real it is... and it seems to never end!

So we say amongst ourselves - Just Fire that Democrat Hank Johnson - he is a clear race baiting politician aimed at dividing this country on some imaginary claim of racism.

But it goes deeper than that. Former President Jimmy Carter now determined to convince Americans that Joe Wilson's "YOU LIE" statement was clearly motivated by race.

This is what I think of racism.

Why this overwhelming push for classifying any protester or dissenter of the President, the Democratic platform, or the Socialist agenda as RACIST?

Simple - they force the dissenters into "proving the negative"... at least that is their intent.

For example, two men decide to have a debate about healthcare. The first man gives an opening statement like this:
"Government sponsored healthcare is not only a right, but essential to the people living in the inner city with low income and a general inability to cover any healthcare costs. To deny these people equal access to healthcare is to deny them the right to life. Without free healthcare, the people of the inner city are being sentenced to 'genocide by omission'. My opponents steadfast protest of providing free healthcare is clearly motivated by a support of the ideal that the people of the inner city aren't worthy of saving based solely on their race. His lack of respect for the people of this race make his protest not only a sad mark on our society, but an immoral one."

The second man may have a prepared opening statement, but no one wants to hear it... they want to hear him defend himself against these charges of racism and support of genocide. In fact, if he doesn't defend himself his opponent will openly admit that his lack of denial is an acknowledgement of his underlying racist tendencies...

Before you know it, the citizenry are confused... "are we listening to a debate about healthcare, or are we listening to an argument about racial superiority?"

We knew this would happen... that any dissent with this president would be seen as racist in nature, consciously racially motivated, or even indicative of our subconscious racial ideals unaware even to us... WOW... that is deep... there is no way around it, we are all secretly or subconsciously racist!

Listen... I hope people are catching on to this and it is not just me. I hope that as the left continues to throw the charges of racism at the right on every issue of dissent that people will open their eyes to this tactic and understand the lies and filth that keep the Democratic engine running.

Perhaps, however, if the lie is told enough the sheeple will believe it...

Center for Freedom & Prosperity: Evidence Against Big Govt

Another great video by the CFP! This 6 minute video is no brain-buster, rather it is another simple way to destroy a Liberal's argument in favor of bigger government and programs like Obamacare. Short and sweet, our government is causing our economic stagnation... basically 9%-10% of GDP being used for govt spending is the optimal amount for maximum economic growth, which means more wealth for all. Anything more stagnates growth due to bureaucracies, anything less stagnates due to anarchy...

Some government is good - for the purpose of defense of personal property and our way of life...

ENOUGH of the "Entitlement" mentality... we are not entitled to anything... a fundamental lesson from the bible - reap what you sow! Those who sow no seeds reap no harvest!

Enjoy the video, and share it with your liberal friends!

Cult of Personality - The Battle for Liberty is Underway

How many of you have heard of the "I Pledge" video?

It was released on January 20th, just after Obama's inauguration. I cannot believe how late I am in commenting on this, but in the wake of Obama's Hail Mary "Lie" to congress, and his indoctrination speech to the children, it is very relevant as a MINDSET of the administration.

It is a moving and very compelling propaganda puff piece, with all your favorite actors and actresses promising to drive Hybrids, stop drinking bottled water, only flush when they do a two-sie, and most importantly to be nice to old people...

It is a pledge of good service and Americanism... right?

Watch for yourself, and tell me what you find that just POPS out at you... anything odd?

I'll tell you what I found odd...

"I pledge to be of service to Barack (kiss) Obama (kiss)" - Red Hot Chili Pepper Guitarist, as he kissed his biceps for the newly inaugurated Obama.
"I pledge to be a SERVANT to our President" - Demi Moore
"Together we can, together we are, together we can be the change" - spoken in a monotone chorus by all

The concepts of the overall message were positive - but for a reason... to lead and persuade the viewer, to correlate the acts of kindness to acts of obedience to the Federal Government, and the President.

Wiki explains simply that Cult of Personality (other than an awesome political rock song from the 80's) is:
A cult of personality arises when a country's leader uses mass media to create an idealized and heroic public image, often through unquestioning flattery and praise. Cults of personality are often found in dictatorships and Stalinist governments.

A cult of personality is similar to general hero worship, except that it is created specifically for political leaders. However, the term may be applied by analogy to refer to adulation of religious or non-political leaders.
The use of celebrities, the message of servitude and obedience, the general acceptance that we are all one people united under Obama - It is the Cult of Personality...

For those of you who complained that we were all making a fuss about Obama's speech to the school children, watch this video again... and know that his speech was intended to give out a "homework assignment" where the students would perform an act of servitude "for the president"... to do ANYTHING in service of the president is the absolutely UN-AMERICAN... The President serves US, not the other way around... we work to serve our community, our state, and our nation in support of the Constitution - NOT in support of cult worship of a "political hero".

THIS is what scares those of us who are aware...
THIS is why we gather and support the TEA Parties...
THIS is why we rally behind Joe Wilson, R-SC, for speaking out against our King
THIS is why we want to preview and approve what this political cult figure head says to our children...
THIS is why we must not surrender or compromise on ANY MORE government Expansion...
and THIS is why we must, WE MUST, cut the head of this Leviathan - so NO PRESIDENT present or future has the power to enslave the citizens of this nation.

The TEA Parties, the Liberty loving Americans, and the now angry mob have aided in damaging the idol status of this president, his policies of Socialism, and have begun revealing publicly the agenda of his political party.

We must NOT allow the Republicans to fill the void with more of the same either... If we do, 2010 will be a waste, and all our efforts at the grassroots level will be for NOTHING.

I pledge to FIGHT tyranny, to stand up to my oppressors - Republican OR Democrat - to always let my voice be heard in FAVOR of Liberty, and to NEVER pledge servitude to ANY man as if he were a king!

Rotten Apples: Healthcare for those who still don't get it

Del over at Revolution of CG compares apples to apples in this great example of the cost AND impact of Socialized Insurance in the United States.

If this bill passes, we will be taxed so high that submission or revolution would be our only two options...

AND

PALIN RESPONDS TO OBAMA'S SPEECH... He attacked her, she socked it to him...

YOU LIE - Congressman's shot heard round the world!

Congressman Joe Wilson, R-SC, fired a two word shot into the mast of Obama during his speech to a joint session of congress... two words that will stand as the ultimate act of defiance against Obama's Government Dictated Health Care: YOU LIE

Immediate condemnation came from both sides of the aisle as the ever so tame Congressional Chambers, for a moment, became as boisterous as the British House of Commons.

Republican elites and Democratic elites alike have already said, and will continue to say that Joe Wilson was out of line, and that he had broken the code of decorum.

However, what we saw was a sheer act of bravery... career ending bravery perhaps, but bravery to directly challenge the lies of the administration and the Democratic party over the 1000+ pages of unconstitutional socialist policy making up this public option proposal.

Joe Wilson's Democratic opponent raised over $100,000 in the hour after the shout... I say we give some money to Joe Wilson... He has taken the Tea Party directly to the President... He has taken the voices of the millions of us who attended Town Hall meetings to debate this issue with our Congressmen and Senators directly to the President. He has given opposition a DEFIANT voice.

Now is not the time for DECORUM! Now is not the time for being polite.

Republican leaders should EMBRACE Joe Wilson's defiance... yet their condemnation is a signal that 2010 will not change a thing. Republicans and Democrats alike are too afraid to shake up the system, to move the pillars of socialism OFF the foundations of this country. They are cows... The politicians are cowards, the entire lot of them... Less JOE WILSON, who stood up for the American People, and will likely 'die' for it...

Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori - How sweet and fitting it is to die for one's country

Joe Wilson will have an uphill battle heading into 2010, and it should be our struggle to keep this man in office. If he goes down, it will be because he stood up to tyranny!

Sic semper tyrannis

SUPPORT JOE WILSON

To hell with "Polite Politics"... We are mad as hell and we aint gonna take this Socialist Death March any more!

(on a private note, I loved the look on Obama's face and Pelosi's face)

Evil can only exist when good men do nothing...

On December 29th, 1890, evil existed in its most pure form as blood from innocent men, women, and children - all unarmed - were executed en-masse by the United State's Government via the US Army's 7th Cavalry at Wounded Knee. The US Army has the incident on record as "The Battle at Wounded Knee", but history has correctly recognized this as a massacre... a massacre in a long line of genocidal policy towards indigenous tribes and peoples of the American Continent.

For those of you who do not know about the Sioux wars, or the massacre at Wounded Knee, here is a short lesson:

In watching this version of the story, my heart sank as it often does during the retelling of the story... but my soul was crushed at 8:30 into the clip - the story of the old woman and the thirsty child... tears burst out of my eyes instantly as I pictured my little girl, and her simple thought that drinking would make the burning in her throat go away... so innocent.

These stories should be taught to all Americans... even the children... and with tears in their eyes they will ask you, as the adults - "why?"

It will be up to you to say, "because good men did nothing"

The west was won by evil, greed, murder, and genocide. There was no God-sent manifest destiny... We lied to ourselves, claiming that we were doing the work of God when we were doing nothing but conducting evil on a scale that would make Mao Zedong, Lenin, or Hitler blush. The west was not won - it was conquered by genocide.

Genocide is the deliberate and systematic destruction, in whole or in part, of an ethnic, racial, religious, or national group.

Genocide is the single most wretched act of evil that humanity can embrace... and it is most important for us to talk about it... to ensure that it never happens again.

More importantly, the events at Wounded Knee Massacre led to the awarding of 20 Medals of Honor to US Army servicemen and scouts. It should be our struggle to force Congress to rescind the awarding of these 20 medals to accompany the already stated "regret" over the incident. Congress and the President should then disband the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and grant full autonomy to tribes over the lands established in treaties such as those at Fort Laramie - which under direction of the US Constitution, article 6, are supreme law of the land.

The time is at hand to make retribution for the wrongs our forefathers brought upon this land. It is time to make amends, to heal the hole in our collective hearts which has been left unhealed over the years, especially since acts like those at Wounded Knee. Our hearts have grown hard, stony, and evil. The hardest thing and the right thing are usually the same... so let us take the hardest thing in this nation to task - recognize in a meaningful way the errs of our past and right the wrongs in our lifetime.

The ghost dance can still be heard in the heart of the Sioux... listen carefully... what is beating in your heart?

Food for thought

Sometimes I have to let others do the talking for me... This morning we have a few great videos delivering the state of the union. Enjoy!

Lakotah: Black Hills are Everything!

An article written by David Swallow, Jr. Traditional Lakota Spiritual Leader and a Head Man of the Lakota Nation

July 5, 2009 Porcupine, South Dakota

The white man calls me David Swallow, Jr. but my real name is Wowitan Yuha Mani. I am a TetohLakota of the Wa Naweg’a Band and I live on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

This is the way my Grandpa Najutala told me, a long time ago. He was a teenager when the 1868 Treaty was signed. He’s gone now but this is how he told me about the sacred Black Hills.

The Black Hills used to be occupied by the Crow Tribe. That was way back, like in the 1700’s, even the 1600’s. Then, the Black Hills were taken by the Shahiyela (the Cheyenne). Then, the Lakota took them from the Cheyenne. Finally, the white man took them from the Lakota.

The Lakota look at the Black Hills as having spiritual power. All the Plains Tribes look at them that way. But the white man saw only the yellow rock called gold. They tried to make deals to get the land in the Treaties of 1825, 1851, 1868, and even the Bradley Bill of the 1980’s.

However, the only Treaty that should be recognized concerning the Black Hills is the Treaty of 1851. At that time, all the tribes signed this Treaty and they signed it in a holy way. The Lakota brought the Sacred White Buffalo Calf C’anunpa, the Cheyenne brought their 7 sacred arrows, and the Crow, Arikara, and other tribes brought their sacred bundles.

They all held ceremonies before they held the pen. They all agreed that no settlers should enter that sacred area, the Black Hills. The way that Treaty was written, this became a non-negotiable matter from that time on. No other Treaty would have the right to change that.

But the government and homesteaders, the settlers and prospectors kept invading the Black Hills.

As a result, the Federal Government renegotiated the terms and called it the Fort Laramie 1868 Treaty. This time, the original signers of the 1851 Treaty didn’t want to sign. Many were fighting. There were no sacred ceremonies done and only one sacred c’anunpa, only one sacred prayer pipe, was present.

The prospectors and homesteaders brought in whiskey to get many of the signers drunk so they would sign. My grandfather told me all about this. He saw it, personally. Mni wakan, sacred water, is what the Lakota called alcohol because it affected our people so strongly.

So this is how we lost the Black Hills.

Six years later, in 1874, General George Armstrong Custer took an expedition into the Black Hills which included a geologist and numerous miners. What they found immediately caused a major gold rush and the white settlers and miners began pouring into the Black Hills. The treaties were completely ignored.

In 1876, the Indian Appropriations Act demanded the Sioux give back the Black Hills or starve under siege. Then they ordered the destruction of all the buffalo herds. By 1889, the Federal Government had forced the Lakota into prisoner of war camps which they now call Reservations. According to government documents, Pine Ridge Indian Reservation is prisoner of war camp #344.

Around 1990, I rode 7 years with many young people to the Crazy Horse Monument. When we crossed our so-called homelands, we were stopped by the white landowners because we didn’t have their permission. One old homesteader showed us his deed showing where he had bought the land from the Federal Government. He told us that if we didn’t like it, we should go talk to the Federal Government who got it from the Louisiana Purchase.

So, we lost our Black Hills. Some said we sold them. If so, I believe somebody took the money without any of us Lakota, Dakota, Nakota, Cheyenne or Arikara knowing it. There is no money.

In 1980, the United States Supreme Court said the Black Hills did rightfully belong to the Lakota. They wanted to buy them from us but our People have refused that money. The sacred Black Hills are not for sale.

But that’s why the Bradley Bill was introduced in 1987 in Congress, to make it look good. It supposedly would have let us live in the Black Hills while the Federal Government could still mine, trespass, and do whatever they wanted. But even that was never approved.

So, saying the Black Hills are ours and belong to us are just hollow, empty words. If they are really ours, why can’t we live there? It’s only occupied by white people with land deeds.

We cannot even go to the Black Hills and exercise our spiritual ways. We are forbidden. We have to get permission from the Government and the BLM and then we have to follow their rules and regulations. But if we are a sovereign nation like they said, we would have our own jurisdiction (county-state-reservation).

If we do still own the Black Hills, we need a new treaty, to renegotiate a new treaty. All the other treaties were violated or abandoned, often with the approval of Congress, without us knowing about it. That’s not supposed to happen in nation to nation dealings.

We have a treaty council, a council of elders, all kinds of councils but none of them are effective. The government and state have kept us hungry and distracted with their projects which accomplish very little.

Every other foreign nation conquered by the United States has received huge efforts towards rehabilitation and rebuilding. Yet, while the U.S. cries about 20% unemployment, we have 80% unemployment. We remain isolated and have living conditions which are as bad as or worse than any “third world country.” Our life expectancy is only 48 years old for men and 52 years old for women.

We are the longest prisoners of war in the world’s history. It must change. We need to be set free so we can deal with our own people and our children and their children.

Unfortunately, most of our old people are in the spirit world. Today, our young people have no knowledge of the treaties, the massacre of Wounded Knee, the struggle of Wounded Knee 2, or our history. These are the reasons our culture is dying. No one remembers the language, culture, virtues, or spirituality. No one knows the real history.

But they need to know. If we are to survive, people need to understand. When we’re talking about the Black Hills, it’s not just the land that was lost but our way of life. It’s not just money. Money is the least important thing. We have lost our way of life.

When we talk about the Black Hills, it is about everything. That place is holy and sacred.

Ho he’cetu yelo, I have spoken these words.

Republican Asshole Contest

Obama's openly admitted Communist Marxist "Green Jobs" Czar, Van Jones, said that the reason why Republicans were stonewalling Obama's Marxist policies was because we are Assholes.

In short, Republicans are assholes.

Reminds me of a song I love:

Visceral hatred, sheer unabridged hatred for political opposition... that seems to be the norm in Obama, his cabinet, his unconstitutional "czars", and his followers.

Never before has America been on the verge of something so explosive that our entire way of life, the mixing of political ideas, or even free and independent thought has been kindling in a coming firestorm.

As a new class of citizen now recognized by the American Government, the Asshole, I am obligated to share an asshole story of my very own:
This asshole volunteers. I have volunteered for many years as a professional in the classroom, sharing the intricacies of rocketry with 3rd graders, and aiding high schoolers with mathematics, science, and world history. I have volunteered with the Audubon Society of Denver, working on trail improvements at the Chatfield Reservoir... hours after beginning a new beta blocker treatment for my heart palpitations.

This asshole enjoys living a life of service to his fellow man. I am filled with joy when I can "pay it forward" (as it were) at a toll booth, or buy a stranger dinner or a cup of coffee anonymously.

This asshole is a do-gooding conservative libertarian... hell bent on brightening peoples day, doing all i can to make someone smile and feel good about life for a moment, and consistently putting myself second to the needs of others.

I am an asshole, and proud of it.
- Steven M Nielson, Asshole Extraordinaire
Please... assholes around the world unite... share your asshole stories with me. How much of an asshole are you? What have you done today to be considered a major asshole, or even a slight pain in the ass?

I will feature the "Republican Asshole of the Month" at the top of my blog, along with your story (or a snippet).

So... what do you say, asshole?

What I have yet to hear in the healthcare “debate”

I was browsing blogs and news articles the other day regarding the issue of Obamacare and came across an interesting comment: How many people who “cant afford” healthcare have cable?

Since reading this I could not stop thinking about the lifestyle of those who cannot afford to purchase healthcare, so I decided to run some numbers.

Using eHealthinsurance.com I was able to perform a simple search for a married couple, both 35 and smokers. 58 results appeared starting at $142 a month – not bad for smokers! Non smoker plans started at $124 a month. This search was performed locally in Washington State, Kitsap County.

Similar searches:

Kansas - $155 smoker, $115 non-smoker

Atlanta - $134 smoker, $98 non-smoker

NYC - $340 smoker, $340 non smoker

Boise - $131 smoker, $118 non-smoker

In my job, with a group plan, I pay $40 a week for coverage, including my wife and child – I used to pay $80 a week (and liked that plan better). So for my family, I pay about $160 a month for non-smokers. Affordable, very affordable.

Let’s take the average of the four randomly selected cities above, and assume a national average of $190 a month for smokers and $167.75 a month for non smokers. That rounds out to about $2200 annually for smokers, $2000 for a non smoking family of two – standard coverage with deductibles, etc.

Assuming a smoking family, combined, sucks down one pack a day (that is 10 cigs each a day, not a far stretch), they will spend $35 a week on smokes costing $5 a pack – or $1820 a year on cigarettes. Just $400 less than a full insurance package annually! Assume that the smokers also have standard rates on Comcast for TV, Phone, and Internet. The price of smokes plus the amenities is $3476 annually, or $1196 MORE than a health insurance plan.

Non smokers with the amenities still have a $357 annual gap to fill – but that cup of coffee, even home brewed, averaging $5 a week is $260 annually… assuming you splurge on a starbucks coffee on average of 1.5 times a week – BAM, health insurance is paid for if you give it up.

What is my point?

My point is that the problem is not a lack of private health insurance, or the cost of private health insurance.

Rather, it is a sense of entitlement. People feel that they DESERVE cable TV, or Internet, or Digital Voice phone. They feel they DESERVE to smoke, or drink a beer a day (another $500 a year). Entitlement Mentality is plaguing our nation.

While these individuals and families who are unable to buy insurance are spending thousands of dollars a year on “niceties” they are also shouting that they DESERVE certain things for free from the government.

I learned at a young age that It is not my RIGHT to have an allowance… I never got one. And when I begged for the almighty dollar from my father, it was usually in return for some labor or chore swapping. I never expected that I would be given anything for free… no handouts. What my father worked to earn, I was not entitled to it.

Similarly, what I earn, self made despots who blow their money on extras and who are clearly living beyond their means, are not entitled to. I value my life’s energy too much to give it away on someone who doesn’t share the same value for their life.

So, the conclusion is simple, the government already provides ample coverage for those who TRULY cannot afford insurance by any other means… there is no need to continue to redistribute wealth so that those “without” can live a lifestyle that does not fit their income bracket… once they are returned to an appropriate lifestyle, there will be motivation to reach the next rung on the ladder. For those who are unmotivated, don’t crawl into my wallet!

Cash for Carbines?

My favorite John Kerry line, "Would that it were," is completely applicable here.

In a fanciful daydream of a more perfect world, where the government trusted fully in the competencies and abilities of the well armed populace as the power behind the government, and the reason for it's protection... a concept came to mind...

Cash for Carbines...

Where the populous is systematically armed and trained in weapons' safety. Each tax paying citizen would simply need to go to a gun dealer and request a weapon of their choice, complete with no less than 1000 rounds of appropriate ammunition. Prior to closing the sale, the purchaser would be required to complete and pass a weapons safety course and appropriate background checks, of course.

What better way to gaily spend tax dollars... what... you want to use it to buy everyone's trashed cars instead...???...

Where is THAT in the constitution?

Hmmm -
"being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed"

Seems more reasonable that if the government was to go on a spending spree, it would be more lawful to do so with regards to weapons... not cars...

Oh... Sorry... I forgot... the idea is to drain the already bankrupted treasury, turn the nation upside down with debt, and then snatch the last vestiges of freedom from us by way of the "private army".

Haven't heard of Obama's Private Army? His Praetorian Guard, his political police.

Maybe it is a good thing that the freedom loving Americans in this country took it upon themselves to self fund their own Carbines program. Turns out we may need it more than we can ever imagine!
