Is History Repeating Itself?

Read this blurb on the fall of the Soviet Union:

The Soviet Union's collapse into independent nations began early in 1985. After years of Soviet military buildup at the expense of domestic development, economic growth was at a standstill. Failed attempts at reform, a stagnant economy, and war in Afghanistan led to a general feeling of discontent, especially in the Baltic republics and Eastern Europe. Greater political and social freedoms, instituted by the last Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev, created an atmosphere of open criticism of the Moscow regime. The dramatic drop of the price of oil in 1985 and 1986, and consequent lack of foreign exchange reserves in following years to purchase grain profoundly influenced actions of the Soviet leadership.

Several Soviet Socialist Republics began resisting central control, and increasing democratization led to a weakening of the central government. The USSR's trade gap progressively emptied the coffers of the union, leading to eventual bankruptcy. The Soviet Union finally collapsed in 1991 when Boris Yeltsin seized power in the aftermath of a failed coup that had attempted to topple reform-minded Gorbachev.

The policies that ripped the Soviet Union apart were those tending away from socialist central rule, and allowing private capitalist ventures.

The policies that are ripping the United States apart are those tending toward socialist central rule, disallowing freedom and private capitalist ventures.

The United States' move toward "change" is a move toward what the Soviet Union was locked into for nearly a century... the only thing missing is the use of military force to ensure obedience and loyalty to the central government... just wait - Obama's "citizen corps" will start that - and if not, any states or regions attempting to cross the new socialist government be warned, there are now measures in place to take down any "citizen unrest". Refer to my previous Post "How a Republic becomes an Empire"

Imagine the wikipedia post being read in 20 years:
The United States' collapse into independent nations began early in 2010. After years of US military buildup at the expense of domestic development, economic growth was at a standstill. Failed attempts at reform ("change"), a stagnant economy, and war in Afghanistan led to a general feeling of discontent, especially in the California and Texas Republics and New England States. Reduced political and social freedoms, instituted by the last US leader, George W. Bush, created an atmosphere of fear and increased criticism of the Federal Government. The dramatic drop of the price of oil in 2009, and consequent lack of foreign exchange reserves in following years to purchase Carbon Credits profoundly influenced actions of the US leadership.

Several US States began resisting Federal control, and increasing libertarianism led to a weakening of the central government. The US' trade gap and continued "stimulus" handouts, combined with excessive foreign loans progressively emptied the coffers of the union, leading to eventual bankruptcy. The United States finally collapsed in 2012 when Joe Biden seized power in the aftermath of a failed coup by Hillary Clinton that had attempted to topple reform-minded Barack Obama.

A little artistic freedom - but the parallels are eerily similar... am I the only one noticing this? Any comments - any discussion?

Political Correctness

From the "forwards" section of my e-mails - not certain of the truth, but what a thought provoking definition:

The following is the winning entry in an annual contest at Texas
A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a
contemporary term. This year's term was Political Correctness.

The winner wrote:

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional,
illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous
mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is
entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Awe Inspiring Side Note - Comet Lulin

Very early this morning, at 1:20 AM Mountain Time to be exact, I was woken up by a restless baby over the monitor... I let her be, but remembered that I had wanted to be up at 1AM to view Saturn and the Speeding Comet Lulin.

I woke up, threw on a sweater, grabbed my spotting scope, and went out the back door - gazing at a dark sky, sprinkled with small specs of light invisible to those who live in the city.

I set my eyes upon a beautiful sight - a comet speeding by earth at a distance of 38 Million Miles (0.492 AU), travelling with a relative velocity of 140,000 MPH to that of Earth, with a hydroxyl/cyanogen gas cloud spanning over 250,000 miles, being fed by an out gassing rate of 800 gallons of "water" each second - cyanogen (CN) is a poisonous gas found in many comets in our star system. The comet is in a retrograde orbit, meaning it is travelling in the opposite direction around the sun as is the earth. The comet has already zipped past the sun, and is on a parabolic trajectory away from the sun - meaning it will never come back... it will be an inter-stellar object, searching hopelessly for a belonging in the infinite void - a lost cloud of cyanogenic gas and dust, sharing the story of the outer reaches of our star system, whose final destination will forever be unknown to human kind.

What is relevant about this sighting? A number of things...

1 - Tonight, at roughly the same early morning time, the comet will be in opposition - meaning it will be in a direct line with the Sun-Earth-Lulin, possibly creating an effect that will cause the tail of gas to seemingly explode with brilliant light, called the opposition effect. If you are lucky enough to see this, it will most likely be a once in many lifetimes opportunity.

2 - This comet will make only one pass near the earth. Those lucky enough to see it will be among a select few, unique to our generation, unique to this single moment in history.

3 - This comet was thrown into the inner solar system by some unknown force/object in the outer edges of our own star system. This comet lies just 1.6 degrees off the ecliptic plane (the plane in which planets orbit the sun, roughly around the sun's equator), possibly by a large "planet X" type object - only mathematics can can fully explain it's origin and the cause of it's trajectory inward toward the sun.

4 - It inspires... the discovery of this comet was made by the third astronomer to discover hale-Bopp comet 10+ years ago... being third prevented him from naming the comet... he was a boy at the time, and dedicated his life to discovering a comet of his own... and this comet may inspire another generation, and so on...

This once in history occurrence should give cause for every one of my readers to shake off the cold in the early morning, gaze up at the sky, and try to find the comet for yourself... If you need help, here is the Sky Map for tonight/tomorrow morning.

Constitutional Convention Needed to Save the States

In a last ditch effort to stop the mortgaging of our future, to restrict the role of the federal government, and to put an end to the Socialization of "Free and Independent States" (T. Jefferson), the States of the Union and the legislative branches therein must vote to call for a Convention for Amending the Constitution of the United States.

There should be no talk of "flag burning amendments" or "abortion amendments"... what needs to be on the agenda is simple:

Whereas the Father of this Nation, George Washington, the First President
of these United States declared in his farewell address that the US Government need "avoid likewise the accumulation of debt, not only by shunning occasions of
expense, but by vigorous exertions in time of peace to discharge the debts
",

Whereas the increased debt of the Federal Government of these United States
violates the oaths of office, which swears to Protect and Defend these United
States, in such that the Federal Government has become too entangled in foreign
debt to ensure Domestic Security,

Whereas it is the role of one generation to secure stability for the next, and not vice-versa,

We move that the Constitution of the United States be amended to include the following text:

"No budget may be approved by any branch of the Federal Government that is
not balanced, no debt may be approved which exceeds a term of thirty years to be
paid in full
"

If there is not a balanced budget amendment, the "stimulus" pay-outs and redistribution will keep coming...

If this is not stopped, I would recommend the same state legislatures to amend their own state constitutions to include a secession clause - New Hampshire and 25 other states are already considering it:

Chuck Baldwin warns of such a convention, in that NWO Liberals would see this as a chance to erase the Constitution - but what that would do is tip the hands of the Big Government Socialists, and give just cause for regional control and a return to a truer union of Free and Indpendent States...

"Nation of Cowards" - AG Holder's Racism Sickens Me

"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and I believe continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," The words of our Attorney General, who sums up his statement roughly as the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives, claiming that we live in "race-protected cocoons."

Where, oh, where do I start.

Let's start with the NAACP - the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. A racist organization aimed at the advancement of a certain...

No... let's start by discussing the disgusting word, "RACE".

What "race" am I? I have light toned skin, but an ancestry of European, Cherokee, Iroquois, Blackfoot, Chickasaw, Mohawk, Huron, and my research may have revealed African lineage as well... so, Mr Holder - label me! Because I "look white" to you, you must assume that I am "White" or "Caucasian" - but how am I Caucasian when my ancestors are not from the Caucus Region of Western Asia? How do you define me by my "whiteness".

THE CONCEPT OF RACE IS ARTIFICIAL.

I belong to the HUMAN RACE. Skin color does not define me. HOWEVER, social status and my achievements and accomplishments, despite my hardships, DOES define me. And it defines the people with whom I choose to associate.

My neighbors are predominantly light toned skin, not that I care one bit... but what we ALL have in common is a lifestyle that we choose to live - middle class, suburb, family raising and safe type neighborhood. We have block parties, house parties, and barbecues - all "skin colors" are invited... we are a community - a family.

Holder's comments, which are ignorantly applauded by the NAACP, are "racist" hate-filled comments, showing general contempt for upper and middle class light-tones, who he feels are creating some slum in which darker tones are forced to live.

If you want to talk about segregation, talk about it in a manner of something which anyone gives a damn about - not skin tone, rather social status and level of achievement. Keep your ignorance to yourself... I don't need the lecture of stupidity.

I choose not to "hang out on the weekends" in inner city slums, high crime rate areas, and generally avoid locations where drug use and violence are statistically higher... and I do so, not based on race, rather, based on self preservation.

I suggest that those "locked" in a lower social status do what I did (as an impoverished welfare child from a broken home, who lived many times on the streets, etc)... GET OVER YOURSELF. Be the change you want to see, as Gandhi said. Break the cycle... get out of the slums... stop using drugs, stop drinking alcohol, leave the abusive family member, go to school, educate yourself, dress business appropriate and work your way up progressively better jobs, buy a house in the country or suburbs, and BAM - there you have it... the American dream fulfilled.

What Holder and Obama are propagating is that darker toned individuals, largely those living in lower social classes, are being held under the thumb by cowards afraid to "let them into their society".

The door is open... YOU JUST HAVE TO WORK FOR IT... you cannot expect that Obama or Holder, or anyone for that matter, is going to GIVE it to you - it takes hard work, courage, and TIME to make a change in your life. You have to stop blaming, and start doing...

Racist organizations like the NAACP, The Congressional Black Caucus, The Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Ku Klux Klan, etc - you are all of the same ilk... racist in nature, dividing people from people based on skin tone.

I do not have "white guilt". I am not ashamed of my skin tone. I embrace my heritage. I fight for my ancestral culture - ALL cultures. I am no coward, and I am not afraid to tell you to your face, AG Holder, that you are an ignorant racist who is not capable of seeing beyond your own skin tone, and the fact that you encourage others to use theirs as an excuse SICKENS ME.

I tell you what I would tell any racist or bigot associated with the NAACP, the KKK, La RAZA, CAIR, etc: GO TO HELL!

In support of my previous post - from Center for Freedom and Prosperity

This video from the Center for Freedom and Prosperity explains America's failing system of economics, started by the Bush Presidency and perpetuated by the Obama catastrophe in the making. Take five minutes and enjoy!

Making Socialism Out of Nothing at All...

Sarah, a commenter on a CNN.com news article, had this to say about Jack Cafferty's criticism of the 'Stimulus Bill' being signed today by Pres. Obama: "This kind of negativity is the last thing this country needs. If you don't have something positively constructive to say wouldn't it be best to say nothing at all?"

Well Sarah - cover your eyes... 'cause this is going to be negative, and it needs to be said over and over again until you damned liberals get it into your thick skulls: DEMAND-SIDE ECONOMICS IS NOT THE ANSWER.

Obamahood and his band of Merry-Congressmen are selling poor economic theory to the tired and droopy eyed American people - the idea the Keynesian Economics is going to pull our country out of an economic recession. The same attempt was made during the 30's, and did nothing more than further stagnate the economy... it wasn't until the war machine sprang to life that the American economy began turning around - providing the readily available supply of raw material, innovation, and production capable from our country at the time.

Keynes (the father of Keynesian Economic Theory) argued that the solution to depression was to stimulate the economy ("inducement to invest") through some combination of two approaches: a reduction in interest rates, and government investment in infrastructure. The short term result would indicate some movement of money and job creation... but the reality is massive devaluation of the currency through inflation, and job loss/stagnation in other sectors of the economy.

The theory is simple - the government injects "stimulus money" into the economy - a series of infrastructure jobs and pet projects - such as an $8 Billion high-speed rail line between LA and Las Vegas (home to Sen. Reid - pet project anyone?), or a bridge to nowhere... Jobs are created for these "shovel ready" jobs... but the money must be taken out of other sectors of the economy - through higher taxation of other individuals - or in our case, ANOTHER DAMNED LOAN FROM CHINA.

The cause of the economic crisis is NOT because government didn't do enough... it is because government over-regulated, made impossible demands on banks and other sectors, and then waiting for the implosion - so they could swoop in and clean up the mess with "the only solution left - Nationalization"...

Friends, family, and readers alike - I echo the words of Jack Cafferty: "Why am I not surprised? Congress lying to the American people has become part of their job description. They can't be trusted on anything anymore."

Congress' approval rating is still in the tank - mustering a pathetic 30%.
Obama's approval ratings have slipped from nearly 80% to nearly %60 in under one month in office.
62% of Americans STILL believe we are heading in the wrong direction in America.

While the general disdain for government is unchanged, and the unease of Americans remains the same, there is n'er an outcry against this bulldozer of Socialism being signed into law today, nor is there question why Republicans in the Senate are calling for the Nationalization of the Banks... Americans are witness to the peaceful transition from a once free society, to that of permanent government rule.

Welcome, friends, to the New United States, one nation, under Socialist Rule, with handouts and health care for all.

The Truth of Islamification - Fitna, the Movie - by Geert Wilders

The Netherlands is under siege, as is all of Europe. Over the course of the last 1200 years, Islam has made several attempts to convert Europe by the sword - this time they are conducting a campaign of immigration and domination... it is devastating European culture, and threatening any potential for world peace.

The following video is called FITNA - a production by a Dutch MP, Geert Wilders, in which he openly criticises the Islamification of his homeland, the Netherlands.

WARNING: The video contains extremely graphic content, not suitable for all eyes. It includes mutilated corpses, the act of mutilating corpses, murder, suicide, etc - very graphic.

In the Netherlands, gone are the days of "I don't defend what you have to say, but I defend your right to say it"... and it has been replaced with the battle cry of Islam - "Behead those who Insult Islam".

Wilders (pronounced Vilders) was to travel to England over the weekend to address parliament discussing the issue of Islamification of Europe - unfortunately the British Government had him removed from the country after threats from a British Muslim cleric to draw tens of thousands of muslim protesters became too much for the Brits to manage... The fear of protest caused the leader of another state to be turned away.

The outcry from muslims is that the movie falsely equates Islam with violence... in the words of Pat Condell, "that is like falsely equating Disney with Mickey Mouse. Islam without violence is like an egg less omelet". Dare we say anything negative about The Religion of Peace, lest we find ourselves also threatened with Violence... go figure.

I have written a number of posts against Islam - not as a religious practice or attack on a religion, but rather a culture of fear and outdated dogma aimed at dragging our civilization back a thousand years. I recommend you browse some of my previous posts, mostly titled "Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war" or some variation...

What is happening in Europe is part of the plan of Islamification - driving fear into the hearts of all, aimed at destruction of civilization for the purpose of obedience to the "religion"...

Ron Paul Speaks to House of Reps... What If...???

H/T to "Road to Nowhere"

Ron Paul delivered a powerful message on the floor of the House of Representatives - What If the US Government and Imperial ideology is the culprit?

This is why Ron Paul was always my number two in the big show - he has a firm grasp on the big picture - a peripheral view to the tunnel vision of most politicians...

What if the US government is the problem... Rep. Paul - it is!

The Cost of Maintaining a Union

When a Union is beneficial to all parties involved, it is applauded by members - old and new alike. When the Union becomes toxic to certain portions, is it not justifiable to cast off allegiance to that Union and develop a form of self-governing that is healthier for those individuals?

You may be thinking to yourself - is this another anti-Federal Government rant? Or perhaps that I am playing to the Civil War topics springing up due to Lincoln's 200th birthday.

In this case, I know what many of you may be saying - Lincoln did what was necessary to preserve the Union at all costs... the war was justified, as the Union is a perpetual necessity for our way of life...

What if we applied, as was my original intent, the logic to the Soviet Union - whose demise in 1990/1991 was applauded across the United States.

Specifically, let's look at Georgia and Ukraine - two areas that are under threat of "reabsorbtion" by the Russian federation. The invasion of Georgia last summer drew criticism and outrage from Americans... and the threat of Russia to reclaim Ukraine is drawing further cries of a renewed Cold War with the Imperial Bear that is Russia...

...but with what double standard do we look at Russia that we fail to see the resemblance to our own situation during the American Rebel War, the Southern War for Independence, often referred to as the Civil War.

Lincoln was given a free pass to break law after law, conduct campaigns of genocide, and plague the South with other forms of Crimes Against Humanity... all in the name of preserving the Union. Honest Abe suspended many of the rights protected by the constitution - and the average citizen forgets that those rights are NOT granted by the government, rather listed as protected FROM the government.

Applying the logic of Lincoln, we should applaud and encourage Russia in a quest to re-unify the Soviet Republics... especially the Ukraine, who was one of the founding Republics of that Union.

Lincoln's war changed the face of the nation - where it was once seen as the collective "these United States", it became the unified "The United States" under one infinitely strong central government. It replaced the humble Constitutional Republic with an Imperial Superpower, locking the future of the nation into continued foreign entanglements - something which Washington warned against in his farewell address to the nation.

Is it prudent to do whatever it takes to maintain a union?

If so, would you argue for the invasion of Ukraine and Georgia so passionately as you defend the invasion of the seceded states of the Confederation?

At what point is a perpetual union of independent states overshadowed by a union of vassal states to a central government, and thus subject to the terms of Independence as outlined by our forefathers who declared a broken union between the colonies and the British Empire?

Is there ever a case to defend both sides of the argument? Dare you try?

Pat Buchanan's take on Lincoln's War

Pat Buchanan is riling up the Republicans who live in praise of Lincoln, and the Democrats who live in praise of Obama - Lincoln reborn (apparently).

There was a post in THE CHRONICLE MAGAZINE questioning how responsible Mr. Lincoln's war actually was for the continent.

A good read - This is the stance that I took during my Advanced American Studies course regarding the Civil War period... it really pleased me to watch my instructor and liberal classmates squirm when I questioned the idol status of Mr Lincoln, and the Heraldry of the Northern Soldiers - while they equally demonized my ancestors who so nobly fought for independence from tyranny.

As I said in my previous post, Mr Lincoln clearly had an impact on the reconstruction of these United States... The Southern Rebellion and Reconstruction era marked the death of the truest and purest meaning of the 9th and 10th amendment to the constitution, and replaced them with the inferred understanding of "perpetual union" - a phrase which existed in the Articles of Confederation, but which were purposefully left out of the Constitution. Historical texts would indicate that some founding fathers wanted it in, and revisionist historians would lead you to believe that this "inferred" right of the Union trumped the right of secession.

There is a fundamental question that I have to ask folks on this topic - which document guides their philosophy: the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States?

If it is the Constitution, great - you are dedicated to the rule of law, regardless of how imperfect that law may be - it is a document subject to change - for better or worse - take special note of prohibition... a constitutional amendment banning alcohol, leading to one of the greatest eras of organized crime, and alcoholic consumption!

If it is the Declaration, better! This document is unchanging - boldly giving the finger to the King of England. The words declare that ultimate freedom and liberty beat in the hearts of every man... The words have remained unchanged for nearly two and a half centuries... and will remain ever unchanged. The truth was written that day.

I can usually gage the caliber of character by the way that an individual answers this question... though I hold my cards very close to my chest...

Please read Mr Buchanan's interesting question on the idolatry of Lincoln, and question Liberty - as it has been taught to us... does it meet the definition of Liberty on which this country began its first rebellion?

No Time to Celebrate - America Under Seige

Happy Birthday, Mr Lincoln. Though I am not such a fan as other Republicans, your resolution of the Civil War has had a lasting affect on these United States.

However, there is no time to celebrate.

The Economic Stimulus, Lincoln's Birthday, and a Plummeting DJIA are all important in their own rights, however, are acting as distractions to some nasty happenings in the United States.

First is H.R. 45 (Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009). It requires, within the first two years, that all new guns be registered. The bill goes retroactive after two years. Meaning that two years after the passage of the bill, ALL FIREARMS in a citizen's possession must be registered, not just those purchased after the bill passes, and this apparently applies to antique firearms as well. Every five years the firearm owner must go through a complete renewal process for each weapon owned. Failure to comply carries stiff penalties including confiscation of the firearms and jail time (penalties as high as ten years imprisonment in some cases). The bill also authorizes government searches without warrant, the creation of a federal bureaucracy to monitor firearm possession, etc.

**The Bill Prohibits:
1. Transferring a firearm to any person other than a licensee, unless the transfer is processed through a licensed dealer in accordance with national instant criminal background check system requirements, with exceptions;
2. Licensed manufacturer or dealer from failing to comply with reporting and record keeping requirements of this Act;
3. Failing to report the loss or theft of the firearm to the Attorney General within 72 hours;
4. Failing to report to the Attorney General an address change within 60 days;
5. Keeping a loaded firearm, or an unloaded firearm and ammunition for the firearm, knowingly or recklessly disregarding the risk that a child is capable of gaining access, if a child uses the firearm and causes death or serious bodily injury.

**Prescribes criminal penalties for violations of firearms provisions covered by this Act. Directs the Attorney General to:
1. Establish and maintain a firearm injury information clearinghouse;
2. Conduct continuing studies and investigations of firearm-related deaths and injuries; and
3. Collect and maintain current production and sales figures of each licensed manufacturer. Authorizes the Attorney General to certify state firearm licensing or record of sale systems.

The bill is being reworked to attract co-sponsors, but it is the very type of law that Obama would gladly sign - see my previous post on the Heller decision under an Obama Court.

Secondly, The Civil war brewing in Mexico is beginning to spill over into the United States - target Phoenix. Phoenix AZ has become the target of Mexico City style ransom kidnap attacks - the tactic preferred by Mexican drug lords/warlords... drug violence, which is fueling unrest in the Latin American country is now being imported across our failed southern border - and there is nothing being done to stop it. With the drug demand in the United States being the fuel for the fire in Mexico, it is not surprising that the violence associated with the war follow the supply. Is Martial Law on the horizon for the border states?

Douglas County GOP Election Results

The Douglas County Republicans (here in Colorado) held their organizational meeting last night, where officer elections were conducted.

There was a three way race for Chairman. Kelsey Alexander, incumbent, faced challenges by Jeff Wasden (Highlands Ranch HOA President and two time candidate for county commissioner), and John Ransom (County Party Activist). The first round of balloting resulted in a required run-off between Jeff Wasden and John Ransom, both scoring about 75 votes. Kelsey Alexander was dropped from the ticket, having pulled in only 58 votes in the first round. John Ransom was elected as Chairman, pulling in 110 votes to Jeff Wasden's 87.

There was a two way race for Vice Chairman. The incumbent was not running for re-election. Two challengers, Merlin Klotz and Mark Baisley faced off. Mark Baisley was elected as the Vice Chairman of the Party after being endorsed by John Ransom. Mark is an extremely involved party activist.

The race for Treasurer saw no incumbent, and the challenger was unopposed. John Fielding was elected by acclamation. John is an attorney, and a party activist.

The race for Secretary was between incumbent Steven Nielson and challenger Marsha Heilflien. Marsha is a retired legal secretary for the Colorado 18th Judicial District, and was endorsed by Kelsey Alexander, John Ransom, and others from the 18th Judicial. Incumbent Steven Nielson was re-elected to the post of Secretary, 104 - 82.

For my second term as Secretary of the Douglas County Republican Party, it is my goal to work in expanding the free media available in order to open a dialogue with Republicans, Independents, and Democrats - informing them of our party principles and taking input as to their wants and needs from the Party as a more representative body.

It was a late night - the meeting adjourned at 12:30 AM. The New Officers of the Party now have the reigns. Let's look forward, capture the momentum, and look toward our role in the state wide elections of 2010.

Iran Joins Community of Space Racers

This is not Iran's first satellite, but it is Iran's first satellite which was launched on an Iranian lifting fixture, from an Iranian launch facility.

Iran has achieved Space launch capabilities - which should give the world reason to both celebrate, and to fear.

Though the satellite was extremely small, weighing only 60 pounds, the capability of space launch indicates a technological milestone in ICBM development. The next two milestones would be capability to launch heavier payloads to orbit, followed by the creation of re-entry technology.

Fears aside, I always have to applaud the advancement in space technology. Supposing Iran truly has nothing but peaceful intentions, a new member in the international space race is an exciting new development - and it serves to progress healthy international competition.

My hat's off to Iran on their accomplishments. And at the same time, I pray that they are truly intending their development for peaceful purposes.
